Job summary

Atoms in San Francisco seeks a Senior Product Manager to own fleet management and device software for our autonomous operations, guiding real-time monitoring, route definition, machine commands, and production reporting.

You will partner with engineering, autonomy, field operations, safety, and training; conduct field research with site leaders and technicians; define success metrics, maintain the roadmap, and support multi-site deployments, onsite five days a week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical, design, or business field is required, with 3+ years in product management.
• Demonstrated end-to-end ownership of a software product in production, from requirements through release and measured adoption.
• Experience with operations or fleet software used by non-desk workers in mining, construction, energy, logistics, transportation, manufacturing, or field service.
• Experience with products that monitor or command physical equipment, vehicles, or machinery.
• Experience with real-time status and telemetry, mapping or geospatial interfaces, or dispatch and assignment workflows.
• Experience with multi-tenant products involving customer accounts, user roles, and permissions.
• Sufficient technical depth to work with engineers on distributed systems, connectivity, data pipelines, and system integrations.
• Demonstrated ability to establish and hold a product or technical direction across teams outside reporting line.
• Primary user research experience conducted in the field, in the working environment of the user.

Responsibilities

• Fleets: Own the roadmap for the web application used to run autonomous haulage operations, real-time monitoring, mapping, routing, and reporting.
• Device Software: Own per-machine interface for status, health, diagnostics, connectivity, and logging.
• Production Reporting: Own reporting on productivity, cycle time, utilization, and leadership surfaces identifying bottlenecks.
• Multi-Site and Access: Own scale-related requirements including site/account structure, roles/permissions, deployment configuration, and field surfaces.
• Platform Architecture: Define shared platform vs market-specific components and when to build separate implementations.
• Data and Integrations: Define data movement between products, engineering systems, and customer systems.
• Requirements and Prioritization: Write product requirements, maintain the roadmap, define success metrics, and prioritize requests.
• Field Research: Conduct primary research with site leaders and field engineers, translating findings into product decisions.
• Cross-Functional Partnership: Collaborate with engineering, autonomy, field operations, customer success, safety, and training; represent products to customers.
