Job description

The real world is the next frontier, and at Metropolis, we are creating the artificial intelligence to make it responsive. We are pioneering the Recognition Economy — a future where mundane repetition disappears and being known unlocks access, comfort and belonging everywhere you go. From transforming parking into a seamless drive-in, drive-out experience for millions of Members to expanding our intelligence layer across retail and hospitality, we are building a world that feels instinctive and magical. The future isn’t coming; it’s here, and we need builders, innovators and problem solvers to help us create it.

Who you are

Metropolis is seeking a Senior Product Manager, Applied AI to lead internal product strategy and drive an AI-first operational transformation across the company. In this role, you will be dedicated entirely to internal-focused AI initiatives, partnering directly with business leaders across Finance, Operations, Go-To-Market, and beyond to identify high-leverage bottlenecks and eliminate process friction. You are a deeply analytical, product-driven leader who operates comfortably at the intersection of complex operational workflows and modern AI architecture. You bring the same product rigor as our core product team (clear PRDs, disciplined roadmapping, and structured discovery) while flexing to a scrappier, sometimes vendor-heavy motion when the work calls for moving fast on AI-first initiatives. Working side-by-side with AI Engineers and vendors, you will turn operational challenges into scalable agentic workflows, internal applications, and automation systems that deliver measurable business impact.

What you'll do
  • Prioritize the internal Applied AI product roadmap, translating ambiguous business challenges into prioritized engineering specifications and AI-first solutions
  • Partner deeply with business leaders across Finance, Operations, and GTM to map existing workflows, identify automation leverage points, and drive internal technology adoption
  • Collaborate closely with AI Engineers to design, scope, and deploy internal applications, prompt pipelines, RAG implementations, and agentic workflows
  • Define clear requirements, PRDs, and quantifiable success metrics for every transformation, tracking outcomes such as time savings, error reduction, and cost impact
  • Lead agile product development cycles, gathering direct feedback from internal users to continuously iterate on deployed AI tools and improve output quality
  • Oversee change management efforts to ensure new internal tools and systems are seamlessly adopted across business units for sustained impact
  • Monitor production reliability, internal tool adoption, and the overall business value delivered by deployed systems
  • Roll up your sleeves to prototype solutions directly, rather than only writing specs for others to build
What we're looking for
  • 6+ years of product management or technical product leadership experience, with at least 2 years focused on shipping AI-powered applications, LLM implementations, or process automation systems
  • Proven track record of driving internal process transformations, operational optimizations, or building software tools for internal business stakeholders
  • Practical understanding of modern AI capabilities, including LLMs, prompt systems, agentic patterns (tool calling, multi-step reasoning), and RAG architectures
  • Hands‑on fluency building with AI tools yourself — prompt engineering, AI coding agents, and rapid prototyping — not just directing engineers on what to build
  • Working familiarity with modern data architectures, data pipelines, and cloud infrastructure, including SQL, Snowflake, and AWS
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with a demonstrated ability to translate complex technical concepts to non-technical business leaders
  • Strong instincts for change management and user empathy to ensure non-technical teams successfully transition to AI‑first workflows
  • Entrepreneurial drive and a strong bias toward shipping fast, testing iteratively, and solving open‑ended problems in a fast‑paced environment
While not required, these are a plus:
  • Previous experience managing third‑party vendor selection, evaluation, and integration for enterprise AI or software solutions
  • Experience scaling internal productivity tools or AI agents within high‑growth technology companies
  • Computer Science, Data Science, or related technical background
  • Direct familiarity with enterprise security, compliance, and governance frameworks around enterprise AI usage
  • Background operating in hyper‑growth startups or environments managing rapid organizational change
