Job summary

CyberCoders in California is seeking a Senior Product Manager for semiconductors and data-center platform software. You will own the SW/FW roadmap for security and control, driving cross-functional decisions with HW, firmware, and platform teams.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years in PM for semiconductors or embedded systems, with experience shipping firmware in hardware environments and strong exec communication skills. Remote options may apply.

Qualifications

• 10+ years PM in semiconductors, embedded or systems software with track record shipping firmware/software in hardware-adjacent environments.
• Data center custom silicon/infrastructure product experience.
• Deep knowledge of BMC/RMC, platform management, BIOS, firmware and telemetry.
• Hands-on firmware integration with servers and rack-level systems at hyperscale/OEMs.
• Strong technical background in embedded software/firmware or systems architecture.
• Experience leading technical requirements conversations with principal engineers/architects at cloud, data center and OEM accounts.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to write PRDs and present to executives.

Responsibilities

• Own the SW/FW roadmap for the security & control platform, including AI/ML inference capabilities and platform management software.
• Serve as cross-functional PM voice across the platform, aligning software decisions with hardware requisites.
• Drive requirements from concept through release.
• Lead technical discussions with OEMs, ODMs, hyperscalers and CSPs to surface integration needs.
• Coordinate across FW, HW, SW, QA, security and marketing to align scope, schedule and priorities.
• Define and maintain feature prioritization across concurrent programs with data-backed trade-offs.
• Track standards and competitive positioning in RMC and BMC platform management.
• Partner with product marketing on messaging and technical content.
• Mentor junior PMs and grow the PM organization.

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of product management experience in semiconductors, embedded systems, or systems software with a track record of shipping firmware or software in hardware-adjacent environments
• Data center / Hyperscaler custom silicon & infrastructure product experience
• Deep domain knowledge of BMC/RMC or other data center platform management SW/firmware - platform management standards, out-of-band management architectures, BIOS, firmware & platform telemetry
• Hands-on experience with how firmware integrates into server and rack-level systems at hyperscale and OEM/ODM customers
• Strong technical chops: background in embedded software, firmware development, or systems architecture within chips, SOC's strongly preferred
• Experience leading technical requirements conversations directly with principal engineers and architects at major cloud, data center & OEM accounts
• Clear, compelling written and verbal communicator - able to write PRDs, present to executives, and represent the company externally
• Nice to have
  • edge AI/ML - inference on resource-constrained HW or AI focused platform management
  • HW security i.e. secure boot, attestation, root of trust, TPM/fTPM and/ or cryptography
  • Protocol/Stadard experience - i.e. NIST 800-193, SPDM, PLDM, DMTF Redfish, or OCP Security standards
  • Previous semiconductor - fabless - company experience
  • AI product experience

What You'll Be Doing:

• Own the SW/FW roadmap for the security & control platform - including AI/ML inference capabilities, BMC/RMC platform management software, security stack, etc.
• Serve as the cross-functional PM voice across the entire platform, aligning Software/Firmware decisions w/system-level HW requisites
• Drive req's from concept through release
• Lead technical discussions with OEMs, ODMs, hyperscalers, and CSPs to surface integration requirements, feeding them into the product roadmap
• Coordinate across FW engineering, HW architecture, SW, QA, security, and marketing to align on scope, schedule, + priorities
• Define, maintain feature prioritization across multiple concurrent development programs with clear, data-backed trade-off decisions
• Track, influence relevant industry standards and competitive positioning in the RMC, BMC platform management space
• Partner with product marketing on messaging, collateral & customer-facing technical content when needed
• Mentor junior PMs, eventually into direct management responsibility as the PM organization continues to grow
