Job description

Description Position at Imagine Learning Great Purpose. Great People. Great Opportunities. At Imagine Learning, we Empower Potential - in students, educators, and each other. As the leading provider of digital-first K–12 curriculum solutions, we’re committed to igniting learning breakthroughs that spark curiosity, creativity, and confidence. Every day, our team designs innovative tools that help educators personalize instruction and engage students in meaningful ways. We’re shaping the future of learning through our Curriculum-Informed AI™ approach - technology that understands instructional context, respects educator judgment, and transforms how teachers personalize learning at scale to unlock each student’s potential. Together, we’re reimagining what’s possible and transforming education. That same spirit of innovation and purpose drives our team culture. At Imagine Learning, you’ll find opportunities for meaningful work, continuous growth, and connection with passionate colleagues who care deeply about making a difference. We celebrate collaboration, embrace change, and believe in lifelong learning - for our students and ourselves. As a remote-friendly company, Imagine Learning offers flexible work arrangements across the U.S. and internationally. Most of our U.S.-based employees work from home or on a hybrid schedule at one of our office locations in Tempe, AZ (HQ), Austin, TX, Petaluma, CA, Rock Rapids, IA, or Stamford, CT. Imagine Your Impact.

Envision Your Experience.

In this role you’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Lead user-centered discovery and decision-making, gathering insights through interviews, classroom research, analytics, and stakeholder input—translating empathy and evidence into clear product direction and prioritized backlogs.
  • Deliver iterative value each sprint, launching lean v1 solutions into real classrooms quickly, then measuring what matters: whether students and teachers are better off. Prioritize learning and impact over polish or perfection.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to drive execution and impact, aligning Engineering, Design, Curriculum, Sales, and Marketing around clear outcomes, managing dependencies, and ensuring strong go-to-market readiness.
  • Operate as an AI-native product manager, using tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Claude Code, Lovable, Replit, and other emerging AI development platforms to prototype concepts, generate PRDs, analyze data, simulate user flows, and accelerate discovery—treating AI as a daily co-pilot in product thinking and execution.
  • Solve meaningful customer problems through educational products, leveraging technologies such as LLMs, natural language processing, and computer vision to create impactful teacher and student experiences.
  • Bridge user obsession with technical fluency, partnering closely with engineers to refine prompts, evaluate model behavior, and scope capabilities—while confidently facilitating teacher interviews and synthesizing pedagogical insights. Design and implement clear evaluation frameworks for product features, defining success metrics, testing for hallucinations and bias, and ensuring reliability, safety, and instructional quality at scale.
  • Own measurable outcomes, defining success metrics, running experiments, performing competitive research, and holding the team accountable to improvements in teacher adoption, student impact, engagement, and revenue performance
  • Act as a responsible disruptor and force multiplier, pushing bold innovation while safeguarding student privacy, safety, and instructional integrity—raising the ambition, clarity, and effectiveness of every team you work with.
  • Other duties as required.
Share Your Expertise.
  • At least 5years of product management experience, ideally in ed tech or another mission-driven, highly regulated consumer/enterprise space
  • A track record of shipping AI-powered or data-driven features that solved real, validated user problems
  • Comfort translating ambiguous strategy into concrete execution plans within a defined product area
  • Strong technical fluency — you can go deep with Engineering on feasibility and tradeoffs without needing to write the code yourself
  • Experience running both technical and customer discovery to de-risk decisions before they hit a roadmap
  • A collaborative operating style — you've driven alignment across Engineering, Design, Support, and Customer Success, not just handed off requirements
  • Genuine empathy for teachers and students as end users, and curiosity about the pedagogy behind the product
Experience, education, and qualifications essential for success in this role, include.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Product Management, Education, Business, or a related field and at least 5 years of Product Management experience, or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in the edtech industry highly preferred.
  • Proven AI adoption experience and extensively use AI tools to draft, analyze, build, and iterate across work.
  • Tangible evidence shipping a new process, tool, approach, product idea, or something that did not exist before your involvement.
  • Strong understanding of software development, APIs, cloud infrastructure, and modern engineering practices.
  • Experience with online project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet, etc. in partnership with excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Hands‑on experience with Agile, Scrum and product discovery techniques/technology solutions.
  • Data‑driven, analytical thinker with the ability to identify and understand complex problems and formulate alternate solutions.
  • Ability to build team cohesiveness, lead, influence, and motivate cross‑functional teams to achieve challenging goals.
  • Experience collaborating with Engineering and other key stakeholders.
  • Highly motivated self‑starter with strong organizational skills; self‑directed to handle multiple priorities with demanding timeframes.
  • Ability to cope with change, shift gears comfortably, and decide and act appropriately.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively partner with stakeholders.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20% to engage with school partners, educators, and internal teams as needed.
Compensation.

Base pay is anticipated to be between $110,862.00 and $140,000.00 per year. Eligible employees may also receive incentive/commission/annual bonus pay based on individual and/or company performance. Compensation may vary based on factors such as, but not limited to, individual skills, experience, training, education/certifications, geographic location, internal equity, and local market conditions.

Location.

In this US-based position your location will be remote.

Travel.

You can also expect up to approximately 10% travel, so be sure you have a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance and a clean driving record for at least the preceding 39 months.

Benefits.
  • Multiple health, dental, and vision plans, including medical plans with zero employee premiums
  • 401k plan with a company match
  • 16 paid holidays, which include 2 floating holidays and a winter shutdown from Christmas Eve through New Year’s Day
  • Paid Time Off
  • Comprehensive maternity and fertility/family building benefits
  • Paid bonding leave when a new child joins your family
  • Access to on-demand mental health resources
  • Life and short and long-term disability insurance
