ABOUT MINE VISION SYSTEMS

MVS is on a mission to unify and optimize the fragmented data collection and analysis processes in underground mining. We invented a precise and real-time underground location platform that is a gateway to remote monitoring and autonomous equipment operations in the mining of critical minerals and precious metals. Our products optimize human and computer decision making, leading to more productive, safe and efficient mining operations.

ABOUT THE THE ROLE

The adoption of smart technology in underground mining is limited by fragmented solutions and poor quality or inaccessible data. The market winners will be the companies that successfully deliver high value insights and simplify the friction involved with adoption. Our underground location platform, multi-sensing modality system, and focus on workflows provides many options to monetize new products and our platform. We are seeking highly driven employees to help us create our success story.

As a Senior Product Manager, your primary responsibility will be to understand customer needs and market trends - both short and long-term - and translate them into clear product visions and strategic offerings. You will define value propositions, create compelling product narratives, and set clear objectives and requirements for new product development. Additionally, you will act as the business case owner and project sponsor, driving the development of new products and features from concept to launch including both software and hardware initiatives.

In addition to direct product ownership, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for integrated solutions and enhanced product value. You will work closely with stakeholders across departments to align offerings, streamline messaging, and ensure a cohesive product portfolio delivering a unified and impactful product experience to customers.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Gather and analyze feedback from customers, stakeholders, and internal teams to inform product requirements, features, and final solutions.
• Collaborate with senior management to define product plans, roadmaps, and go-to-market strategies, regularly incorporating feedback to reprioritize as needed.
• Tightly partner with engineering and QA teams to create and review Product Requirements Documents (PRDs) and technical specifications.
• Specify market requirements for current and future products by conducting market research supported by on-going visits to customers and non-customers.
• Work to optimize processes to accelerate Mine Vision System’s go-to-market strategy.
• Serve as a leader within the company, guiding cross-functional efforts and driving alignment.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s or greater degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field required.
• 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager managing the full product lifecycle—from ideation to launch and ongoing iteration.
• Ability to define and execute a strategic roadmap while balancing short-term needs with long-term goals.
• Proven ability to translate requirements into intuitive user experiences—delivering wireframes, storyboards, user flows, and process diagrams to effectively communicate interaction and design concepts.
• Strong understanding of software development, cloud technologies, APIs, and system architecture.
• Ability to conduct competitive analysis, customer interviews, and market research to inform product decisions.
• Excellent analysis, prioritization, decision-making, and implementation skills with a high level of personal responsibility.
• Experience with JIRA, Agile methodologies, backlog management, and working with cross-functional teams.
• Deep understanding of user experience principles with the ability to guide intuitive and effective product design.
• Passion for understanding user needs and advocating for the best user experience.
• Strong ability to collaborate with executives, engineering, sales, marketing, and customer support teams.
• Excellent English oral and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to break down complex problems and drive effective solutions.
• Meticulous attention to detail with a strong focus on ensuring product requirements, designs, and implementations align precisely with user needs and business goals.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment and navigate change effectively.

NICE TO HAVES

• At least 2 years of hands-on experience with digital twin technologies or laser scanning, with a strong understanding of spatial data analysis.
• Background in robotics, with working knowledge of LiDAR, imaging sensors, and IMU data.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• Valid driver’s license and passport.
• Ability to occasionally bend, reach, and lift items weighing up to 30 lbs.
• Willingness to periodically work in underground mine environments for customer support and research purposes.
• Travel up to 10% nationally and internationally.
