Job description

About the Company

Mon Ami builds modern technology for the growing sector of aging and disability services. We’re a women-founded, mission-driven startup tackling the $100B+ social services market to enable the delivery of life-sustaining services for older adults and people with disabilities.

Our customers are large public agencies (think state departments on aging, or state departments of health) across the country who coordinate complex networks of care, but who are currently wasting 60% of their time on administrative paperwork that can be digitized and automated. Mon Ami’s cloud-based solutions allow them to streamline workflow, increase capacity to serve more people, and track outcomes. We have raised over $15M in capital and are backed by leading VCs in healthcare and SaaS, including Ulu Ventures, Maverick Ventures, Pivotal Ventures, and others.

About the Role

As a Senior PM at Mon Ami, you will have a great deal of freedom to make decisions that matter, and the responsibility to own them end to end.

PMs at Mon Ami love to build and are comfortable getting into the weeds. We understand engineering well enough to propose solutions and assess theirs, understand the data model well enough to anticipate what reports customers will want after a new feature launches, and understand our users well enough to know where they\'ll get confused before they do. What\'s changed since we last hired a PM is the scale of the canvas: our products now power statewide implementations for enterprise government customers, and AI is reshaping both what we build and how we build it.

We expect this PM to be genuinely AI-fluent: someone who instinctively offloads the repetitive parts of the job (drafting tickets, first-pass QA, summarizing feedback) to AI tools so their time goes to the things that actually need a senior product mind: architectural problems, design possibilities, and time with customers. Fluency here means judgment, not just speed: knowing when AI output isn\'t good enough, and when the moment calls for rolling up your sleeves instead.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Own core platform execution: Take thorny, ambiguous problems and bring clarity to the team by leading discussions, writing crisp specs, and driving deep QA to ship a great product on a tight timeline.
  • Ship for enterprise government: Design product solutions that hold up in statewide implementations, balancing configurability, data requirements, and compliance realities in partnership with our Solutions Architecture and Customer Success teams.
  • Bring AI into the product: Identify where AI can meaningfully improve our customers\' work and our product\'s capabilities, and define features that deliver on that promise responsibly.
  • Work like it\'s 2026: Use AI tools daily to compress the busywork of product management, so more of your week is spent on architecture, design, and direct customer discovery.
  • Spend real time with customers: Develop an exceptional sense of judgment about our users: what they need, where risks lie, and how public agencies actually adopt software.
  • Own product area strategy: Shape the roadmap and strategy for your product area, connecting project-level decisions to company goals and influencing direction at the company level.
  • Anchor decisions in data: Define success metrics for launches, monitor impact, and partner with engineering and data teams to keep decisions grounded in reliable data.
About You
  • Experience: 8+ years of product management experience problem-solving with software engineers, including projects with tough trade-offs you had to make decisions about, ideally in case management, healthcare, GovTech, or other enterprise SaaS.
  • Execution: You bring clarity to ambiguity. Specs, prioritization, QA, and launch coordination are second nature, and you hold a high bar for quality on tight timelines.
  • AI fluency: You use AI tools as a core part of how you work, paired with the judgment to know when they help and when they don\'t. You hold a high bar for what you pass along: no AI slop that creates more work for engineers, designers, or customers. You\'re still willing to go heads-down on manual QA for a big, high-stakes launch. You have informed opinions about where AI belongs in a product, and where it doesn\'t. (Experience with Claude Code or similar tools is a plus.)
  • Empathy: Exceptional empathy and listening skills, as judged by your peers and reports (whose references we will ask for).
  • Leadership: You lead project teams, provide direction to cross-functional partners, and help less experienced teammates navigate complex decisions.
  • Startup agility & initiative: You\'re joining a scrappy team that punches above its weight. You get stuff done, figure things out, and marshal resources to achieve your goals.
  • Logistics: Able to work 6+ hours/day that overlap with California time.
Our Culture

We value high performance and high enjoyment. In addition to having the privilege of working hard on a mission we believe in, we get to do it on a team of people we genuinely respect and like being around. Our hybrid/remote company of ~40 gets together in person 2x per year for team-proposed activities like board games, cooking competitions, and time in nature. In between those retreats, we make time for 1-1 connections across the company. We have a flat hierarchy: ideas for innovation that come from our interns make it into the hands of our users. Founded by two women of color, we know diversity in our team leads to higher quality decisions, so we continually invest in recruiting from under-represented groups and maintaining an inclusive environment.

Benefits
  • The expected salary range for this position is between $165,000 and $200,000. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
  • Health insurance, 15 days PTO (20 days after year two), and sick leave.
  • 401K, disability insurance, FSA, and HSA.
  • Generous paid family leave.
  • The opportunity to do work that matters with a team that treats one another with respect and kindness.
