Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Senior Product Manager to lead the strategy and execution of a developer platform and payment API ecosystem. This role focuses on API products, developer tools, SDKs, and platform capabilities that enable software providers and partners to embed payments into applications.

The candidate should be technically strong, work closely with engineering teams, and translate complex concepts into business value for stakeholders.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in a technical field is required.
• 3–5 years of product management experience with technical products or developer platforms.
• Experience owning API-driven products from concept through delivery.
• Strong understanding of APIs, webhooks, SDKs, authentication, and integration architectures.
• Ability to read API docs, endpoints, requests, and developer workflows.
• Experience partnering with engineers and technical stakeholders throughout the product lifecycle.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and data-driven decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication bridging technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience creating or influencing API/SDK documentation and developer portals.

Overview:

A global leader in Payments and Data solutions, is seeking a Senior Product Manager to help drive the strategy and execution of the developer platform and payment API ecosystem. This role is ideal for a highly technical Product Manager who thrives at the intersection of product, engineering, and developer experience. This position centers on API products, developer tools, SDKs, and platform capabilities that enable software providers, ISVs, and partners to seamlessly embed payment functionality into their applications. The ideal candidate has a strong technical foundation, experience working closely with engineering teams, and a passion for building products that developers use.

Day-to-Day:

You'll own the roadmap and strategy for a developer platform and API ecosystem, working closely with engineers, architects, developers, and partners to improve integrations and the overall developer experience. You'll define requirements for APIs, authentication, SDKs, and developer tools, prioritize enhancements based on customer feedback and usage data, and help drive adoption by reducing integration friction. You'll also support developer portals, documentation, onboarding resources, and self-service tools while translating technical concepts into clear business value for stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
• 3-5 years of Product Management experience supporting technical products, developer platforms, APIs, or software infrastructure.
• Experience owning API-driven products and platform capabilities from concept through delivery.
• Strong understanding of APIs, webhooks, SDKs, authentication frameworks, and integration architectures.
• Ability to read and understand API documentation, endpoints, requests, responses, and developer workflows.
• Experience working directly with software engineers and technical stakeholders throughout the product lifecycle.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data-driven decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to bridge technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience creating, managing, or influencing technical documentation for APIs, SDKs, integration guides, developer portals, or technical products, with a strong understanding of developer content best practices

Preferred Qualifications

• Early-career experience as a Software Engineer, Developer, Technical Analyst, Solutions Engineer, or other hands-on technical role.
• Payments or fintech platform experience.
• Knowledge of payment processing concepts including authorization, capture, settlement, tokenization, vaulting, and merchant onboarding.
• Experience building products for software platforms, ISVs, SaaS providers, or developer ecosystems.Familiarity with developer-focused businesses such as Stripe, Adyen, PayPal, Square, Plaid, Marqeta, Braintree, Worldpay, or similar platform organizations.
• Experience with developer documentation tooling and standards such as OpenAPI/Swagger, Postman, Redoc, documentation-as-code workflows, GitHub, Markdown, or similar developer content platforms.
