As the Senior Product Manager, you will act as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring that product strategies and roadmaps are aligned with organizational goals. This role requires a deep understanding of reinsurance analytics, exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to navigate complex environments to deliver impactful solutions.

How you'll make an impact

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Product Manager to join our GRe Tech team. This role is critical in supporting business-as-usual (BAU) applications and driving the development of new applications in the complex and dynamic space of reinsurance analytics and actuarial. As this is a new role, the successful candidate will play a pivotal part in structuring the product management function, establishing strong product management practices, and ensuring the role is well-respected and aligned with both business and technology teams.

How will you affect the business?

  • Product Management and Roadmaps: Lead the product management function by building and maintaining strategic product roadmaps for BAU applications and new applications developed by the GRe Tech team, ensuring alignment with business priorities and technical capabilities. Collaborate closely with product owners to ensure effective execution of the roadmap.
  • Strategic Product Vision: Define and communicate the vision and strategy for reinsurance analytics and actuarial applications, ensuring they deliver measurable value to the business.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Build strong relationships with business stakeholders, including actuarial teams, analytics teams, and other key users, to understand their needs and translate them into actionable product requirements.
  • Structure and Process Development: Establish and formalize product management processes, frameworks, and best practices to ensure consistency and efficiency across the team.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate closely with technical teams, including developers, architects, and analysts, to ensure seamless delivery of product features and enhancements.
  • Complex Problem Solving: Navigate the complexities of reinsurance analytics and actuarial systems, identifying opportunities for innovation and improvement.
  • Prioritization and Planning: Manage product backlogs, prioritize features based on business impact, and plan releases to maximize value delivery.
  • Performance Metrics: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for applications, ensuring they meet business objectives and deliver measurable outcomes.
  • Advocacy and Influence: Champion the product management function within the organization, ensuring its value is recognized and respected by both business and technology teams.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in product management, reinsurance analytics, and actuarial systems.

  • Strong understanding of reinsurance analytics and actuarial processes, with the ability to translate complex business needs into technical requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to structure and establish product management functions in new or evolving environments.

About You
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Actuarial Science, or a related field required.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) as a Product Manager, preferably in the insurance, reinsurance, or analytics domain required.
  • Experience managing BAU applications and driving the development of new applications in complex domains.
  • Proficiency in Agile methodologies and tools for product management, such as Jira or similar platforms.
  • Experience in the reinsurance or insurance sector is a plus.
  • Familiarity with actuarial systems and analytics tools is a plus.
  • Certification in product management or Agile practices is a plus.
  • Experience working in a global, multi-location environment is a plus.

Compensation and benefits

We offer a competitive and comprehensive compensation package. The base salary range represents the anticipated low end and high end of the range for this position. The actual compensation will be influenced by a wide range of factors including, but not limited to previous experience, education, pay market/geography, complexity or scope, specialized skill set, lines of business/practice area, supply/demand, and scheduled hours.
