About Rygen
Rygen designs and builds technology solutions to empower the logistics industry. Shippers, vendors, and 3PLs that use Corsair TMS are able to eliminate painful tasks like shipment tracking, contract management, invoice payments, and others, allowing them to focus on the core parts of their business. Rygen has a product-focused team that enjoys building out tools that fundamentally move the logistics industry forward. The team is made up of driven, talented individuals from both technology companies and traditional logistics companies.
About the Role
Corsair is Rygen's Transportation Management System. The TMS market is crowded, and most products expect users to watch every load, every tracking update, and every invoice. Corsair is built around exception-based management: the system watches everything and surfaces only the shipments, loads, invoices, and events that need a human decision.
As Senior Product Manager, you will own Corsair from end to end. You will pick up a roadmap that is already in motion, keep it shipping, and make sure every release moves the product closer to that vision. You will work closely with engineering, design, and the team behind X1, our AI-enabled integration platform (iPaaS). You will also spend real time with the shippers and 3PLs who use Corsair every day.
What success looks like
- First 30 days: You know Corsair's customers, roadmap, and metrics well enough to explain the top three priorities and why they matter.
- First 90 days: You have delivered on current roadmap commitments and set a baseline for how Corsair detects, prioritizes, and resolves exceptions.
- First year: Customers spend measurably less time monitoring and more time resolving. Exception metrics are tracked, trusted, and improving, and Corsair's point of view is clear to customers and the market.
What You'll Do
- Own the Corsair roadmap. Continue the current plan, re-prioritize with evidence when needed, and explain trade-offs clearly to leadership, sales, and customers.
- Champion exception-based management. Define what counts as an exception across the load lifecycle (tender rejections, missed pickups, late ETAs, detention, invoice variances, missing documents). Decide how exceptions get prioritized, routed, and closed. Hold every feature to one test: does it reduce what a user has to watch?
- Run continuous discovery. Talk with shippers, carriers, brokers, and 3PLs every week. Sit with operations teams, watch real workflows, and turn what you learn into clear problem statements. Use Product Analytics tools to track how users use the TMS.
- Partner with engineering and design from problem to launch. Write clear requirements and acceptance criteria, make scope calls, and stay close through release and adoption.
- Apply AI where it earns its place. Work with engineering on ML and LLM capabilities such as predictive ETAs, anomaly detection, document and invoice matching, and recommended next actions. Set clear evaluation criteria and keep a human in control of high-stakes decisions.
- Define and move the numbers. Own metrics such as exceptions per 100 loads, time to detect and resolve, alert precision, automation rate, invoice match rate, adoption, and retention.
- Work with the X1 team on data and integrations. Make sure Corsair gets clean, timely EDI, API, carrier, and visibility data to act on.
- Equip go-to-market. Help sales, marketing, and customer success explain what makes Corsair different in a crowded field.
What You Bring
- 5+ years of product management experience in B2B software, including ownership of a product that customers rely on daily.
- Supply chain, logistics, or TMS experience (strongly preferred). You understand how freight moves, where it breaks, and who feels the pain.
- A track record of owning outcomes: you can point to a metric you set, a metric you moved, and how you did it.
- Comfort with data, including SQL or BI tools, product analytics, and testing ideas before committing engineering time.
- Practical AI fluency. You use AI tools in your own work, and you know enough about ML and LLMs to scope features, set evaluation criteria, and talk through limitations with engineers.
- Enough technical depth in APIs, integrations, and system design to contribute in technical reviews.
- Enough design sense to contribute in design reviews.
- Clear writing and speaking, and the confidence to say no with reasons.
Nice-to-Haves
- Hands-on experience with a TMS such as Turvo, TAI TMS, Blue Yonder, MercuryGate, Manhattan, McLeod, or a homegrown system.
- Operator experience as a dispatcher, carrier rep, transportation analyst, or freight audit specialist.
- Working knowledge of EDI transactions (204, 210, 214, 990).
- Experience with visibility or control tower products.
- Experience shipping ML-powered features to production.
