Job summary

Moog in East Aurora, NY is seeking a Senior Product Engineering Technician to join the Military Aircraft Group, reporting to the Product Engineer Lead. This role offers a first shift on-site schedule at our East Aurora, NY facility.

You will work closely with product engineers and electronics operations to examine hardware, diagnose circuit card build issues, analyze trends, and assist with production documentation and procedures. Travel up to 10% is required.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of relevant experience and/or vocational training with electrical products for manufacturing.
• Associate’s degree with 5 years relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s degree with 3 years relevant experience.
• Relevant vocational or technical training in electrical technology may credit toward experience.
• Candidates with a combination of manufacturing experience and an accredited degree will be considered.
• Travel –10%.
• This position requires access to United States Export Controlled information.

• Plan and perform engineering inspections/evaluations of hardware.
• Diagnose product and circuit card build failures using electronics manufacturing knowledge.
• Data preparation, analysis and evaluation of trends.
• Assist with production assembly documentation including work instructions and test procedures.
• Assist or direct other production technicians in assembly methods and troubleshooting.
• Provide support to assembly operations in coordination with engineers.
• Monitor assembly producibility and drive continuous improvements.
• Serve as technical liaison with engineers and project teams.

Moog’s Military Aircraft Group is looking for a Senior Product Engineering Technician to join their team, reporting to the Product Engineer Lead.

This role offers a first shift on-site schedule at our East Aurora, NY.

As a Senior Product Engineering Technician, you will:

• Work closely with product engineers and electronics operations teams to complete work that governs the performance of assigned product lines, Including:
• Plan and perform engineering inspections/evaluations of hardware
• Use technical understanding of electronics manufacturing to diagnose product & circuit card build failures
• Data preparation, analysis, and evaluation of trends.
• Assisting with production assembly documentation including work instructions, acceptance test procedures, historical record keeping, etc.
• Assist or direct other production technicians in methods of assembly, use of equipment and instrumentation, and diagnosis and rework of anomalies/failures
• Provide support to assembly operations in coordination with the lead Project, Product and Process Engineers
• Monitor assembly producibility of assigned products and institute continuous improvements
• Serve as technical liaison with Project, Product and Process Engineers, supporting project coordination and team meetings

To be considered for Senior Product Engineering Technician, here’s what you’ll typically need to bring with you:

• Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience and/or vocational training involving electrical products that support a manufacturing process.

OR

• Associate’s degree in related field and 5 years relevant experience

OR

• Bachelor’s degree in related field and 3 years relevant experience

• Relevant vocational or technical training and education in electrical technology, electronics, manufacturing technology, or a related field may be credited toward the experience requirement.

• Candidates with a combination of relevant manufacturing experience and an accredited degree in electrical technology, electronics, manufacturing technology, or a related field will be considered

• Travel -10%

• This position requires access to United States Export Controlled information.

Salary Range Transparency:

Buffalo, NY $34.00–$48.00 Hourly
