Job summary

Parafin, Inc. in San Francisco is seeking a Senior Product Engineer to own large product areas end-to-end, from scoping projects to making technical decisions and driving outcomes. You’ll have a direct hand in shaping what we build and how it’s built.

Ship polished user experiences and own the APIs, data models, and backend services behind them. You’ll partner with Product and Design to inform roadmap decisions and improve the user experience, not just execute on specs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience building and shipping user-facing products.
• Experience owning projects end-to-end and driving them from scoping through execution.
• Production-quality UIs in React and experience building APIs, working with databases, and debugging backend systems.
• Strong focus on user experience and ability to reason about UX improvements.
• Ability to contribute to abstractions, architecture, and patterns for maintainability.

Responsibilities

• Ship polished user experiences and own the APIs, data models, and backend services behind them.
• Partner with Product and Design to inform roadmap decisions and improve the user experience.
• Make sound technical decisions and contribute to architecture and design; participate in design reviews.
• Improve code quality, systems, and team processes; mentor other engineers.
