The role requires deep technical expertise, ensuring product consistency, and providing direction across engineering efforts related to the product family. The Senior Product Engineer collaborates with Manufacturing, Sales, Purchasing, Field Service, and the Controls Manager to keep products reliable, manufacturable, serviceable, and aligned with ALKAR engineering standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 8 years of mechanical design or product engineering experience, preferably with custom industrial equipment.
• Advanced proficiency in SolidWorks with understanding of manufacturability.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the engineering leader, technical authority, and product champion for assigned product line(s).
• Coordinate mechanical engineering activities and support project engineers and designers.
• Provide direction to controls and electrical engineering resources to meet product requirements.
• Establish and improve product engineering standards, design practices, and documentation.
• Lead or participate in design reviews, change evaluations, and continuous improvement.
