Job summary

Meissner in Camarillo, CA is seeking an engineering leader to drive complex product design from concept to manufacturing. You will own key technical decisions, guide bioprocessing capital equipment development, and coordinate across machining, sheet metal, welding and purchased components.

Lead fast prototyping, investigate root causes, and develop DOE/PAR strategies while mentoring engineers and aligning with QA, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of working experience as an engineer or a related position.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferably Mechanical, Biomedical, Chemical, or Manufacturing.
• Experience leading product development efforts for mechanical systems and capital equipment in regulated environments.
• Demonstrated expertise in leading execution of large product development actions and cross‑functional alignment.
• Proficiency with CAD software and MS Office; familiarity with project management tools is preferred.
• Strong communication skills with leadership and cross‑functional teams.
• Customer‑centric mindset and collaborative problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Drive complex product design by owning key technical decisions meeting reliability and manufacturability requirements.
• Lead development of bioprocessing capital equipment and define system architecture across components.
• Manage vendor relationships and ensure long‑term performance and scalability.
• Execute DOE, qualification and validation protocols to confirm production capability and CQAs.
• Mentor engineers and guide cross‑functional teams through risk assessment and DOEs.
