You'll leverage your expertise in CAD, reinforcement learning, and mechanical engineering principles to create impactful solutions that directly enhance engineering workflows.

Position Overview:

At Hanomi, we're seeking driven engineers excited about tackling complex and ambiguous challenges at the intersection of hardware, mechanical engineering, and AI. You'll leverage your expertise in CAD, reinforcement learning, and mechanical engineering principles to create impactful solutions that directly enhance engineering workflows.

Responsibilities

1. Develop robust, low-latency pipelines integrating computational geometry methods, mechanical engineering heuristics, and graph-based reinforcement learning algorithms to address multi-objective optimization problems.
2. Own the creation and refinement of computational geometry features utilizing low-level CAD kernels (Python/C++).
3. Efficiently handle CAD data through Boundary Representation (B-Rep) and direct modeling techniques.
4. Work closely with engineers to directly observe and enhance their daily workflows using your algorithms.
5. Collaborate with the founding team to translate customer insights into actionable product specifications, shaping the strategic product roadmap.
6. Engage proactively with customers, deeply understanding their pain points to ensure our solutions meaningfully address their challenges.

Qualifications

1. 5-7+ years of hands-on experience with geometry kernels and low-level C++ operations.
2. Experience building and deploying reinforcement learning algorithms and machine learning pipelines.
3. [Bonus] Solid knowledge of mechanical engineering fundamentals, including GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
4. Excellent communication skills, with a proven ability to clearly articulate technical ideas, trade-offs, and solutions.
5. Openness and readiness to relocate to San Francisco.
