Job summary

Prysmian Group in Taunton, MA, onsite, seeks a Senior Product Development Engineer to lead innovation, development, cost optimization, and regulatory compliance across new and existing products. You will engage with manufacturing trials, lab testing, and internal/external stakeholders to drive product lifecycle vitality.

The role spans R&D, manufacturing operations, product commercialization, and business strategy, contributing to growth of the Specialty Cables business.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field.
• 5+ years in wire and cable product development or related manufacturing roles.
• Experience with regulatory certification processes (UL/ETL/CSA) and stage-gate projects.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate manufacturing, testing, validation, and commercialization of new products.
• Evaluate manufacturing readiness for new product implementation.
• Plan and run plant-scale trials and process evaluations.
• Develop prototypes and test plans for labs and third parties.
• Coordinate product qualification with external certification bodies.
• Lead Design to Manufacturing to enable first-time-right launches.
• Drive cost-reduction initiatives with engineering, manufacturing and supply chain.
