Job summary

Shurtape Technologies, a global leader in adhesive tapes, seeks a Senior Product Development Engineer in New Hartford, CT. You will work with New Product Development teams to study pressure sensitive adhesives, optimize formulations, and support scale-up of PSA tapes and related products.

You will collaborate with Marketing and Manufacturing on complaint resolutions, Voice-of-the-Customer activities, and cost-reduction initiatives, applying strong analytical and experimental skills to drive

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science/Engineering, or Materials Science/Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 10–15 years’ experience in relevant field.
• Strong background in applied polymer science and characterization techniques.
• Experience with PSA adhesives, polymeric coatings, and UV/E-beam curing.

Responsibilities

• Support NPD teams in designing pressure sensitive adhesives and related formulations.
• Study structure, properties and performance of adhesives to guide product design and scale-up.
• Coordinate with Marketing and Manufacturing to address complaint resolutions and VOC activities.
• Lead or participate in DOE-based projects and establish product specifications.
