Key Responsibilities:

1. Product and Process Support: Provide expert support for existing and new film-based products, processes, and technologies, ensuring they meet program impact potential.
2. Data Collection and Analysis: Independently gather and analyze test data to understand film product performance.
3. Design of Experiments (DOEs): Develop and implement DOEs to optimize formulations and processes aligned with customer needs.
4. Process Improvement: Create data packages characterizing manufacturing processes and propose improvements during scale-up.
5. Test Methodology Standardization: Standardize new testing methodologies, including automation, based on customer needs and performance gains.

As a Senior Product Development Engineer, you will:

• Participate in product development and communicate findings globally
• Lead data collection and analysis efforts
• Implement and improve standard processes
• Answer questions through experimentation
• Collaborate to meet business needs in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment

Your Skills and Expertise:

Minimum qualifications include:

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, Material Science, or related field (verified prior to start)
• At least 3 years of product development experience in relevant environments

Preferred qualifications include:

• Master’s or Ph.D. in science or engineering
• Experience with scale-up and deployment of new technologies
• Experience in semiconductor packaging is a plus
• Excellent communication skills and teamwork in a dynamic industry

Work Location & Travel:

Onsite at 3M Center, Maplewood, MN. Up to 5% domestic/international travel. Relocation assistance may be provided.

Legal & Compensation:
