Job description

SR. PRODUCT DESIGNER (UI/UX) - SEEKING

Product | Full-Time, Salaried | Reports to Head of Product

We are not hiring another UI designer. We are hiring the designer who will change how our members see, think about, and act on the information we put in front of them.

Company Seeking.com (Reflex Media)

Location Remote, anywhere in the USA

Compensation $80,000 to $170,000 base

Travel Required for team weeks, user research, and quarterly planning in Las Vegas

About the Role

Seeking.com is the world's largest premium dating platform, founded and led by an MIT alumnus and headquartered in Las Vegas. We work at the intersection of technology, consumer psychology, and product design at the highest level. Our mission is to help people foster genuine relationships and find love, and to rethink how social platforms can advance human connection.

We are hiring the Product Designer who is going to help us design the next generation of Seeking, and we are looking for a specific kind of designer. Not the designer who makes screens prettier. The designer who changes what a screen is for. We want someone who will rethink how we present information to our members so they can make better decisions, and faster ones: who to talk to, who to trust, what to say, when to act, when to hold back.

What You'll Own
Information Design & Decision Support
  • Rethink how information is presented on Seeking so members can make better decisions and faster decisions. Every screen is an argument for what the member should do next; you own the argument.
  • Design for cognitive load. Decide what to show, what to hide, and what to defer. Kill decoration that costs comprehension.
  • Turn raw signal (profile data, verification state, activity, compatibility signals) into interfaces members can read at a glance.
End-to-End Product Design
  • Own the design of the Seeking core experience across web and native iOS and Android: onboarding, discovery, matching, messaging, profile, and subscription surfaces.
  • Move from insight to prototype to production. Wireframes, flows, interaction specs, high-fidelity design, and design QA at ship.
  • Set and evolve the design system so the platform reads as one product, not five.
Research, Prototype, Validate
  • Conduct or co-lead user research with the PM. Sit in on interviews, watch session recordings, read the tickets.
  • Prototype in Figma, Framer, or code (v0, Lovable, Cursor) to test ideas with real members before an engineer touches them.
  • Plan and run usability testing on the flows you own, and instrument the metrics that will tell you whether the design actually helped.
Agentic Operating Model
  • Use Claude, Claude Code, Cursor, and comparable tools every day to accelerate exploration, ideation, and production.
  • Build and refine agent workflows that take work off your plate and let you produce at scale on your own.
  • Contribute to a growing internal playbook so the whole design and product team compounds.
Required Qualifications (Both Levels)
  • A portfolio of shipped consumer product work with real users and referenceable outcomes. If your case studies do not name the metric your design moved and by how much, this is not the role for you.
  • A demonstrated point of view on information design. Not "here is a nicer version": "here is why the old version made the member think about the wrong thing."
  • Demonstrated ability to do the work, not just direct it. Recent design work where you personally drove the research, the flow, the prototype, and the design QA.
  • Expert Figma. Component systems, auto-layout, prototyping, tokens, and multi-file library management.
  • Fluency in modern prototyping tools that put working software in front of a user in hours, not weeks (Framer, v0, Lovable, Cursor, Replit, or comparable).
  • Daily, fluent use of agentic AI tools (Claude, Claude Code, Midjourney, MCP-based workflows, or comparable). You will be asked to demonstrate this in the interview.
  • Technical fluency. You read code, understand HTML, CSS, and component-based frontend, and can spec responsive and native behavior clearly.
  • Hands-on fluency with product analytics (Amplitude, Mixpanel, Firebase, or comparable), session recording tools, and A/B testing. You measure whether your work worked.
  • Systems thinking. You see the user motivation, the data event, the downstream retention impact, and three ways the same problem could be solved better.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication. You can defend a design decision to the CEO with the same conviction you can defend it to an engineer.
Level & Experience
Product Designer
  • Two to four years of product design experience, ideally in consumer B2C, mobile, or subscription businesses.
  • At least one feature or flow you personally designed end-to-end from concept through launch, with a measurable customer outcome you can quote.
  • Rising-star trajectory. You have been promoted quickly, taken on scope beyond your title, or shipped work that outpaces peers with more experience.
  • Comfortable owning a defined surface with mentorship from the Sr. Designer, PM, and Head of Product.
Sr. Product Designer
  • Five or more years of product design experience, with meaningful time as a Sr. Designer, Staff Designer, Founding Designer, or IC Design Lead. Title-flexible, output-strict.
  • Multiple shipped products or features you owned end-to-end, with measurable outcomes you can quote.
  • Owns both craft and direction. Sets the visual and interaction bar, drives design decisions across surfaces, and can defend a call to the Head of Product and CEO.
  • Comfortable being a mentor and reviewer for other designers as the design function scales.
Preferred Qualifications (Both Levels)
  • Prior work in dating, social, marketplace, subscription, or other consumer-focused product categories where engagement and retention are the primary levers.
  • Front-end fluency (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) sufficient to ship small changes yourself or to prototype in code.
  • Background in information architecture, data visualization, editorial design, or human-computer interaction.
  • Experience setting up local agent environments (custom orchestration, self-hosted MCP servers).
  • Public work we can see: portfolio, prototypes, case studies, Dribbble/Behance/personal site, or an agent toolkit you have shared.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in design, human-computer interaction, or a related field. Not required. We value the work over the credential, but credentials help when the work is also there.
Compensation & Benefits
  • Base salary: $80,000 to $170,000, commensurate with experience and level. The lower half of the band anchors the Product Designer level; the upper half anchors the Sr. Product Designer level.
  • Full-time, salaried, fully remote within the US. Strong preference for candidates open to relocating to Las Vegas, NV.
  • 99% coverage of our medical base plan, dental, and vision insurance. 65% coverage for qualified dependents. 100% coverage of short-term disability, long-term disability, and life insurance for qualified employees. 50% 401(k) match up to 6% per month. Flexible Spending Account. Flexible paid time off.
  • Direct exposure to the CEO from day one, and a clear growth path as design scope expands.

Bonus: include links. Case studies, prototypes, a Loom walking us through a project, an agent setup you have shared publicly. Anything that lets us see how you operate.
