7Seventy in Berkeley, CA is seeking a Senior Product Designer to lead UI/UX across websites and data dashboards, translating complex research into intuitive experiences. You will own end-to-end product design, establish direction, improve usability, and deliver responsive interfaces for diverse audiences.

Collaborating with executive leadership, communications, web development, research, and design teams, you will drive UX strategy, design systems, and data visualization, mentoring a designer

Qualifications

• 5+ years designing interactive digital products with leadership experience.
• Ability to interpret data visualizations for non-technical audiences.
• Portfolio showing UI/UX and data visualization work.
• Strong typography, color theory, visual hierarchy.
• Advanced Figma proficiency (Auto Layout, Components).
• Experience establishing or maintaining design systems.
• Familiarity with research and subject matter.

Responsibilities

• Define and own product design strategy across websites and data products.
• Establish design processes, workflows, and quality standards across the organization.
• Lead end-to-end design projects from problem definition through final delivery.
• Design responsive user interfaces and data visualizations that communicate complex information clearly.
• Conduct user research to better understand audience interests, behaviors, and product usage.
• Create design specifications, wireframes, mock-ups, prototypes, and reusable design assets.
• Contribute to and expand the organization's design library.
• Mentor another designer and support part-time design contributors.
