Hatch is a sleep wellness company open to candidates across the U.S. and Canada, based in California and aligned to PST/PDT hours. We seek a Senior Product Designer to shape Hatch Sleep Clock and influence experiences across app and device ecosystems.

You will lead UX from problem framing to launch, collaborate with product and engineering, and help build the product design practice while driving sleep health innovations for adults.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on UX and product design experience with a portfolio that shows strategic thinking and the process behind the work, not only polished UI.
• Ability to define problems and shape product direction: framing opportunities, mapping journeys, and making the case for what to build.
• Strong research skills: planning and running studies and turning findings into clear decisions.
• Experience leading UX for features end to end, from concept to launch, in partnership with PMs and engineers.
• A strong understanding of UX and UI best practices in mobile applications, including accessibility.
• Ability to turn concepts into functional prototypes for testing and alignment.
• AI-native in how you work: you've built AI into your own design process, prototyping with code and generative tools.
• Clear communication: storytelling, thorough design documentation, and the ability to influence cross-functional partners.
• Excitement about working in a fast-paced environment.
• Big bonus if you have experience in consumer facing products, IoT product development, or designing for adult audiences.

Responsabilités

• Within 1 month: Build a solid understanding of our adult device ecosystem, the science of adult sleep, and our customers by digging into existing research, feedback, and usage data.
• Within 3 months: Lead UX for one or more features from problem framing through launch, partnering with PM and engineering; design and ship first responsive sleep experience.
• After 6 months: Take on larger feature work, contribute to design system work, and help grow the team culture.
