As a Senior Product Designer at dbt Labs, you'll reimagine how teams orchestrate and validate data transformations at scale. You will drive the design vision for our orchestration and CI/CD features, creating solutions that help enterprise customers manage data workflows with ease and efficiency.

Your work will impact collaboration and quality in data transformations, enabling faster delivery of reliable data products. You will help make sophisticated workflows accessible and maintainable, delivering tangible cost savings for users.

We seek someone passionate about solving complex challenges through thoughtful design, capable of transforming intricate workflows into intuitive experiences while maintaining power and flexibility.

In this role, you can expect to:

• Lead the design vision for orchestration features, creating experiences that help enterprise customers manage technical workflows easily
• Design AI-enabled CI/CD features to empower developers to improve their dbt code and catch issues early
• Create seamless experiences connecting dbt Core and dbt Cloud for broader user access to enterprise features
• Take concepts from research to production, collaborating with product managers, engineers, and designers
• Conduct user research with data practitioners across time zones to understand needs and validate solutions
• Participate actively in the design team, sharing work and helping elevate team output
• Contribute to our design system to ensure consistency across products

You are a good fit if you:

• Have 8+ years of experience designing web-based applications and tools
• Have shipped technical products solving enterprise user needs
• Understand the full design process from discovery to post-launch iteration
• Can communicate design decisions effectively to technical stakeholders
• Are proficient in Figma or similar tools
• Can work flexible hours to overlap with ET timezone and conduct research in different time zones
• Thrive in a remote, collaborative environment

It’s a plus if you:

• Have experience designing developer tools, especially in data infrastructure
• Have worked on orchestration platforms, CI/CD, or data quality products
• Have experience with dbt or similar tools
• Have designed products that increase user adoption through engagement
• Understand data engineering and analytics workflows

Compensation and Benefits:

• Salary: $150,000 - $220,000 USD
• Equity Stake
