Job summary

Clear Street is seeking a Senior Product Designer who thinks mobile-first and has shipped on iOS and Android. You will define the mobile experience as this product is built from the ground up.

You will work closely with iOS and Android engineers, prototype in the real codebase using AI tooling, and ensure mobile patterns integrate with the broader design system while keeping the web and mobile experiences cohesive for a fintech product.

Job description

Clear Street Active is a new retail trading product and mobile is a first-class surface. A lot of our users will spend most of their time there, and the experience has to hold up on its own terms, not as a scaled-down version of the web app.

We're looking for a Senior Product Designer who thinks mobile-first and has shipped on iOS and Android. We're early enough that you'll be defining the mobile experience before it exists.

What you'll do

• Work closely with iOS and Android engineering to ship
• Prototype in the real codebase using AI tooling
• Bring a mobile perspective to design system work. Patterns that don't hold up on a small screen need to be caught early.
• Keep the mobile and web experiences cohesive alongside the rest of the design team

What we're looking for

• Deep mobile craft: iOS and Android native patterns, gesture interactions, the details that separate a good mobile product from a great one
• Some familiarity with investing or trading, from work or personal use. Not a hard requirement, but you'll need to get up to speed quickly.
• Can prototype in the real codebase using AI tooling
• Works closely with engineering, not around it
• High autonomy, no ego

Nice to have

• Has shipped a consumer fintech mobile product
• Experience designing across web and mobile in the same product

This is a small team. Everyone is building, giving feedback, and in the work together, not siloed by function.
