Job summary

HighRes is a Beverly, Massachusetts-based life sciences lab automation company seeking a Senior Product Designer to own the connected CellarioOS experience and the interfaces on our devices. You will unify software and hardware UX under a shared design system and drive end-to-end research and design with Engineering and Product Management.

You will prototype rapidly with AI-enabled tools, contribute to AI-driven interface patterns, and translate research findings into prioritized design

Qualifications

• 6+ years of product or UX design experience for SaaS, enterprise, or hardware-adjacent platforms.
• Experience designing across software and hardware interfaces, or willingness to work across both.
• Comfort building within a shared design system across surfaces.
• Fluency prototyping with AI-assisted design and code tools.
• Strong facilitation and storytelling; presenting to scientists, engineers, and executives.
• Ability to translate complex, multi-step user journeys into simple interfaces.
• Portfolio showing shipped product work from a high-velocity team.
• Must maintain daily overlap with US Eastern Time hours; EU/UK/Canada/US preferred.
• Ability to travel as needed (10% travel)

Responsibilities

• Design across CellarioOS software and device interfaces, unifying them under a single visual design language.
• Distill complex technical requirements into clear user problems and needs.
• Own the Lab Designer tool and system visualization work; help users configure their lab at a glance.
• Collaborate daily with research, visual design, Engineering and Product Management from concept to release.
• Prototype rapidly with AI-enabled tools, moving from sketch to interactive fidelity quickly.
• Design and evaluate generative-interface patterns for adaptive UI as AI capabilities grow.
• Contribute to co-design workshops, design reviews, and usability tests; translate findings into prioritized design decisions.
