Job summary

Datavant is seeking a Senior Product Designer to lead end-to-end design for healthcare data retrieval products. You will work directly with clients and internal users, partnering with Product and Engineering to turn complex workflows into simple, effective experiences.

You'll own 0-to-1 product design, shape self-service experiences, and evolve the core platform to unlock new capabilities. The role requires self-direction, curiosity, and comfort with ambiguity, with a focus on measurable

Qualifications

• 6+ years of product design experience, ideally with enterprise, workflow, platform, or data-intensive products.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end ownership and impact.
• Experience taking ambiguous opportunities from 0 to 1, framing the problem and validating concepts.
• Strong product judgment connecting user needs with business goals and technical constraints.
• Experience conducting research and communicating with external clients and cross-functional partners.
• Self-directed, proactive, and able to move work forward.
• Ability to simplify complex workflows and communicate design decisions clearly.
• Experience designing in healthcare, fintech, or regulated environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end product design from discovery through implementation.
• Shape and launch 0-to-1 products expanding value delivery.
• Design self-service experiences increasing visibility and control in retrieval.
• Improve usability and workflows in core platform and tools.
• Engage with clients and users via interviews and usability research.
• Translate complex healthcare workflows into clear user journeys and interfaces.
• Collaborate with PMs, Engineers, Client Success, and Operations on tradeoffs.
• Use prototypes and insights to test assumptions and guide strategy.
