This range is provided by MacroFactor. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.

Base pay range

$125,000.00/yr - $155,000.00/yr

MacroFactor brings together the best of science and technology to help users lose weight, gain muscle, and maintain results. When you join us as a Senior Product Designer, you will start by working on our flagship product - a premium macro tracker that adapts to the user’s metabolism and offers scientific nutrition coaching to over 250,000 users.

In this role, you will be responsible for the formalization of our design system, refining and iterating on pre-existing feature concepts developed by our product team, and eventually, end-to-end creation of new user workflows. We are looking for someone who has pixel perfect execution, strong Figma expertise, and willingness to iterate, iterate, iterate based on feedback.

Compensation and Benefits

Base Salary: $125,000 - $155,000/yr

Guideline 401k: 100% match on 6% of contribution, eligible after 3 months of employment

BCBS Platinum Health Insurance: company pays 100% of your premium

Time Off and Sick Days: 25 PTO and 10 sick days per year

Bonus: eligible for an annual performance bonus

Location: remote role in North Carolina with the option to join the occasional company event

  • The candidate must be a resident of and be eligible to work in the US. Candidates in North Carolina are preferred.
What We Are Looking For
  • 5+ years of experience as a UX/UI designer, with at least 2+ years working on mobile applications.
  • 1+ years of experience with cross-platform UX (web, tablet, watch).
  • Expert Figma skills, including design systems, components, variants, and auto-layout.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing expertise in mobile wireframes, high-fidelity designs, and component libraries.
  • A meticulous eye for detail—you sweat the pixels, ensuring everything is precise and refined.
  • A strong understanding of interaction design, usability principles, and accessibility best practices.
  • Experience working in a highly iterative design environment, collaborating with engineers and product teams.
  • The ability to take direction and feedback, refine ideas, and drive towards a polished end result.
  • A systems-thinker who enjoys building and maintaining scalable, flexible design frameworks.
  • Passion for creating market-leading experiences with an innovative mindset.

What You Will Do
UX/UI Design:
  • Develop a deep understanding of the MacroFactor brand, product, market, and users.
  • Partner with product leadership to understand requirements for new features.
  • Refine existing workflows and develop new user workflows.
  • Create high fidelity designs for new user experiences across products.
  • Research, test and document competitive solutions to ensure MacroFactor’s new experiences are market leading.
  • Drive the creation of design components and guidelines to ensure consistency across user interfaces.
  • Collaborate with copy editors to create clear and concise copy for interfaces.
  • Comprehensively test new releases to ensure high quality translation of UX designs into production.
UX Research:
  • As needed, conduct user surveys and studies to assist the product team with decision making.
  • Protect user’s data and hold yourself to the highest standard for safeguarding the user’s privacy during research studies.
