Job summary

SoundCloud in New York is seeking a Senior Product Designer on the Creator Team to define and design tools for artists, producers, and music creators. You will focus on data storytelling: turning complex streaming analytics, audience demographics, and financial metrics into clear, actionable insights that help artists grow their careers.

This role requires an entrepreneurial mindset and a high level of ownership, capable of leading complex design initiatives from zero to one with minimal product

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in product design, UX/UI, or interaction design.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating ability to present dense data in simple, intuitive visuals.
• Experience building analytics dashboards is a must.
• Proven track record of leading major product features independently.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with evidence of decisions and business impact.
• Expert-level mastery of Figma and hands-on AI design tools for efficiency.
• Excellent communication skills to pitch ideas and align cross-functional teams.
• Genuine interest in music production or empowering independent artists.
• Experience with motion design and frontend principles (HTML, CSS, React) or data visualization libraries.

Responsibilities

• Design high-craft, intuitive product experiences that turn complex analytics into elegant dashboards for creators.
• Own end-to-end design process for creator-focused products and define scope when PM support is light.
• Translate complex problems into clear, intuitive workflows.
• Utilize AI design tools to accelerate prototyping and scale output.
• Conduct user research and leverage insights to inform UI/UX.
• Collaborate with Engineering to ensure feasibility and maintain design quality.
• Evolve and maintain SoundCloud’s design system for consistency.
