Job summary

Nextiva is redefining how businesses connect through an AI-native product design platform. A Senior Product Designer will shape experiences across desktop and mobile, partnering with product and engineering to solve complex problems with rapid prototyping and intelligent AI-assisted workflows.

You will define product direction, challenge assumptions, and turn ideas into production-ready interfaces while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 6+ years designing digital products in SaaS or enterprise environments.
• Strong portfolio showing product thinking, interaction and visual design.
• Experience leading complex product initiatives from discovery to implementation.
• Ability to think critically, challenge assumptions, and influence product direction.
• Experience designing production-ready experiences across desktop, mobile, and responsive.
• Experience building and evolving scalable design systems and component libraries.
• Strong user-centered design, information architecture, usability testing, and data-informed design.
• Excellent customer communication and discovery skills with stakeholder empathy.
• Experience partnering with software engineers throughout delivery.
• Proficiency with AI-powered design tools to accelerate design and frontend implementation.
• Knowledge of design-to-code workflows, Git-based collaboration, and component-based architecture.
• Technical fluency with HTML, CSS, frontend frameworks, and design systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end product design from discovery through delivery across desktop, mobile, and responsive.
• Partner with Product Managers and Engineers as a strategic thought partner, challenging assumptions, asking the right questions, and helping define the best solution.
• Engage directly with customers to understand needs, ask thoughtful questions, gather feedback, and translate insights into product decisions.
• Create user flows, customer journeys, wireframes, interactive prototypes, high-fidelity designs, and production-ready experiences across desktop and mobile.
• Design across multiple product domains, including onboarding, e-commerce, AI-powered product capabilities, administration, customer conversations, and emerging platform initiatives as priorities evolve.
• Build functional, high-fidelity prototypes using AI-assisted development workflows to validate ideas with customers and stakeholders quickly, learn from feedback, and iterate toward the right solution.
• Collaborate closely with Engineering by reviewing AI-generated frontend implementations, refining production code, and helping bridge design and development.
• Drive consistency across products by evolving and contributing to Nextiva's design system, reusable components (A2UI), and design standards.
• Use customer research, analytics, experimentation, and usability testing to continuously improve product experiences and business outcomes.
• Communicate design thinking clearly and confidently, presenting concepts, facilitating customer and stakeholder conversations, and explaining the rationale, tradeoffs, and customer insights behind design decisions.
• Work independently in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple initiatives while adapting quickly as business priorities evolve.
• Leverage AI-powered design, research, and development tools responsibly to improve speed, quality, creativity, and execution.
• Explore emerging AI technologies and workflows, sharing best practices that improve team productivity and elevate design quality.
