Job summary

Netflix is seeking a Senior product designer to lead AI-enabled design-system initiatives, shaping scalable UI architectures for the XD Foundations team in ads. On-site in California, you’ll collaborate with design, ML, and engineering to drive agentic workflows and AI-powered improvements across the Ads Suite.

You will mentor teams, define standards for AI-integrated experiences, and guide the handoff between design and engineering in a rapidly evolving AI-enabled environment.

Qualifications

• 5–7+ years in product design shipping complex systems architecture or foundational infrastructure.
• Outstanding proficiency in the modern AI stack (LLMs, media generation models), focused on AI-augmented design-system construction.
• Growing understanding of agentic systems and architectures (reusable workflows, safety guardrails, context isolation, long-term context).
• Agility in AI-native environments such as Cursor or Claude Code — redefining the design-to-engineering handoff.
• Deep understanding of how design systems and platform architectures scale with dynamic or non-deterministic content.
• High-level judgment on when to automate via AI vs. protect human-led coherence.
• Preferred: AdTech/Enterprise B2B experience; structured content modeling; AI-written React/HTML/CSS; prompt engineering; AI ethics and accessibility.

Responsibilities

• Define the systems architecture for an intelligent UI library with XD and Content Design leads — scalable patterns for chat interfaces, agentic feedback loops, and human-in-the-loop interventions, backed by machine-consumable documentation, schemas, and metadata
• Partner with Engineering to operationalize agentic workflows that automate high-friction tasks for key customers and internal users
• Use AI-assisted workflows to normalize legacy UI and refactor scattered documentation into a single structured source of truth for humans and AI
• Build high-fidelity functional proof-of-concepts with AI-assisted coding/prototyping tools (intent-based orchestration, multimodal inputs)
• Serve as steward of quality and human gatekeeper for AI-generated outputs
• Mentor the broader design organization on AI fluency
• Act as strategic bridge between Product Design and Machine Learning Engineering
