Job summary

Pivotal Health in New York City is seeking a Senior Product Designer to shape how our healthcare software looks, feels, and works, owning product areas from discovery through launch. You’ll partner with Product Managers and Engineers across customer portals and internal tools, translate complex workflows into intuitive experiences, and evolve our design system with AI-powered interactions.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of product design experience in complex B2B software or fintech/financial products.
• Owned a product line or significant product area and collaborated with PMs and engineers.
• A portfolio showing strong product thinking, visual craft, and shipped outcomes with explanations.
• Ability to translate complex workflows into intuitive experiences.
• Strong Figma proficiency, including prototyping and design systems.
• Experience using AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT) and related plugins.
• Ability to conduct focused user research and translate findings into design decisions.
• Initiative to move work forward with minimal guidance and clear communication.
• Comfort collaborating in person within a New York City hybrid model.

Responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end product design for significant initiatives from problem framing to delivery.
• Partner with Product and Engineering to shape requirements and tradeoffs.
• Simplify complex workflows into clear, intuitive experiences across portals and tools.
• Elevate visual craft and product quality with attention to hierarchy, typography, and UI states.
• Plan and conduct focused user research; gather feedback using prototypes.
• Evolve and balance the design system across experiences.
• Apply AI to improve processes and drive faster iteration in design and development.
