Chromatic is seeking a hands-on Product Designer to drive end-to-end product experiences, from concept to user flow to pixels. You’ll understand underlying algorithms, policies, and prior art, research customer workflows, and balance findings with business priorities.

You’ll build design systems and agent workflows, then verify quality across interaction, accessibility, and copy. You’ll ship production UI in React, work within existing patterns, and communicate design decisions clearly.

• 8+ years of product design experience with strong UX and visual craft.
• Shipped technical products and understood their mechanics.
• Used coding agents and experimented with new workflows.
• Built prototypes and production UI in React.
• Work within existing design patterns and balance scope with business needs.
• Offer recommendations, seek feedback early, adapt with data.
• Explain ideas and decisions clearly in writing and visuals.

Product Design spans research, design, and implementation. We’re looking for a hands‑on builder who is deeply curious about bringing developer workflows to agents.

Required Location:

North America or Europe.

Responsibilities

• Design every detail of a product experience from initial concept to user flow to pixels.
• Understand the algorithms, policies, and prior art that underpin design.
• Research how customers work, then weigh the findings against business priorities to decide what to build.
• Verify implementation quality, including interaction behavior, accessibility, copy, and edge cases.
• Build durable design systems with components, tokens, and guidelines for engineers and agents.
• Develop agent skills and harnesses that encode design decisions.
• Work with Marketing on visuals and content for the features you’ve shipped.

Requirements

Salary Range
