Pilot is hiring a Senior Product Designer for our SMB Product & Design teams.

Pilot’s SMB Product & Design teams focus on providing small and medium-sized businesses with tools to gain control and visibility into their finances. We deliver real-time insights into business health and empower owners to make confident strategic and financial decisions.

We’re seeking a collaborative designer who can balance creative thinking at 35,000ft and execution at 35ft to deliver intuitive and impactful product experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner strategically with Product, Engineering, and Operations to drive product decisions and roadmap priorities.
• Lead the end-to-end product design process to ensure seamless interactions across all touchpoints within your product and service areas.
• Develop user workflows, wireframes, and prototypes from low to high fidelity.
• Design within an established design system and contribute to evolving design standards across Pilot.
• Deliver thoughtful solutions and detailed specifications ready for implementation.
• Collaborate with internal and external users to conduct interviews and gather data to inform design decisions.
• Mentor other designers on strategy and craft, maintaining high design standards within the team.

About You

Our ideal candidate is curious, highly analytical, and team-oriented, with the following qualifications and skills:

• Experience: 6+ years in Consumer Product, Enterprise, SaaS, Service Design, or related fields, with a proven track record of delivering end-to-end workflows and experiences from strategy to execution.
• Product & Systems Thinking: Skilled at simplifying complex systems to achieve human-centric solutions balancing simplicity and functionality.
• Design Craftsmanship: Strong attention to detail in information architecture, visual hierarchy, typography, and layout.
• Communication: Excellent visual, verbal, and written communication skills, actively seeking and incorporating feedback.
• Collaboration: Thrive working with project leads and stakeholders, aligning with broader team goals.
• Business Acumen: Understand the business impact of design decisions and drive product value.

The salary range for this role is $125,000 - $211,000 in most remote locations, and $156,000 - $211,000 in San Francisco and New York City. Final offers depend on experience, location, and other factors. Positions are eligible for equity, benefits, and other perks.
