LiveX AI is building an AI experience that lives in the physical world, and the Senior Product Designer role is central to making that interaction feel clear, cohesive, and polished. This is a hands-on position where you own the human-AI interface across Gateway and Portal, connecting product design with character design, 3D visuals, motion, and interactive prototypes through to production with engineering.
What you’ll do
- Design the human-AI interface for Gateway and Portal, creating user flows, interfaces, and interactions that work for touch, voice, and content on a life-size screen used by walk-up users in noisy environments.
- Shape the characters by developing the look and presence of 4K digital twins and branded characters, including mascots, house experts, and licensed talent, with attention to how they move, gesture, and present products.
- Bring products to life in 3D through renders, scenes, and animations for on-screen display, launches, ads, and product pages.
- Create motion and video by producing motion graphics and editing product films, demos, and event videos from raw footage to final delivery.
- Lead visual design for campaigns and launches, including key visuals, posters, trade show graphics, social assets, and on-screen content.
- Build working prototypes by turning interactive concepts into HTML/CSS/JavaScript web demos, then iterating them alongside engineering.
- Develop AI-assisted creative workflows that combine generative image and video tools with professional design and 3D tools.
- Contribute original ideas around campaigns, product features, and new ways people can interact with AI in physical spaces.
- Maintain brand consistency across screen, print, digital, video, and 3D.
What you bring
- 5-8 years of professional product design experience, with visual design as a core strength and shipped UX/UI work.
- Early-stage startup experience (seed to Series B, under ~50 people), with the ability to own design end to end without a design team.
- Strong portfolio featuring published advertising work such as campaigns, posters, and key visuals.
- Generative image and video proficiency, including good judgment on when to use AI tools.
- Advanced software skills across professional design, motion graphics, and video editing.
- Solid 3D fundamentals covering modeling, lighting, materials, rendering, and animation.
- Hands-on motion and video editing experience for video graphics and delivery.
- Independent web-building ability for small projects, with the ability to hand off cleanly to engineers.
- Hands-on use of AI coding tools for design and prototyping.
- Initiative and clear point of view on product and design.
- On-site location requirement: able to work on-site in Palo Alto; lives in or will relocate to the SF Bay Area.
