Job description

We're partnering with a digital dollar neobank built for Latin America, backed by Sequoia Capital, Founders Fund, and Y Combinator. The company just closed a $70M raise and has grown 4-5x year over year for five straight years running, now serving roughly 2 million users and moving over $10B in annualized volume.

The company was founded by a former Revolut crypto product lead alongside a co-founder and CEO with deep fintech operating experience. What started as a single cross-border payments product is expanding into investing, credit, and cards, with several products now running in parallel instead of one. The team is distributed across New York, Buenos Aires, São Paulo, Krakow, Mexico City, Bogotá, and London, and this role sits in the company's New York office, with an expectation of four or more days a week in person.

Design has been a team of two: one of the co-founders and a design lead. As the product surface area grows, so does the design team, and whoever joins next will help define how design works here rather than fitting into an established process.

The Role

We're looking for a Product Designer who can be dropped into any part of a genuinely complex, regulated fintech product and think it through end to end, not just the happy path. You'll work in close, hands-on collaboration with engineers and the founders themselves, taking ambiguous problems and shaping them into real product direction across a system that holds people's money across multiple countries.

This is a generalist role. You won't be siloed into one lane. Depending on where the product needs you, that could mean cross-border payments one quarter and investing or credit the next.

Responsibilities:

• Own end-to-end design across payments, investing, credit, and cards
• Turn open-ended problems into clear product direction
• Design for edge cases, not just the primary flow, given the regulatory and trust bar of a financial product
• Collaborate directly with engineers and the founding team as design scales past its first two people
• Bring a real point of view on using AI in your own workflow
• Justify your decisions, including the alternatives you rejected, not just the final output

What we're looking for:

• Sharp and analytical, able to pick up complex financial and regulatory logic quickly
• World-class craft backed by real UX rationale, not one at the expense of the other
• Consumer product experience at real scale, ideally from a company known for product quality (Airbnb, Duolingo, Cash App, Uber, Meta, Notion, Linear, or similar caliber)
• A track record of 0-to-1 work, not just executing inside something already built
• Hungry, self-starter energy: ambitious, a little pushy, not ego-driven
• Genuine curiosity about the mission and product, not general fintech enthusiasm
• Comfortable in the New York office four or more days a week
