Design Central, Inc. is hiring a Senior Product/Industrial Designer for an in-studio role in Columbus, OH.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with team members across the design process
• Produce concept sketching and develop form
• Build CAD for product concepts (CAD development)

Requirements

• Strong portfolio showing problem-solving, good design, sketching ability, form development, and manufacturing understanding
• Demonstrated ability to present process and results professionally
• Experience leading project teams
• Positive, flexible, adaptable, and enthusiastic can-do attitude
• Ability to balance multiple projects
• Strong aesthetic sense
• Aptitude for mechanical development (plus)
• Graphic sensitivity and UI experience (plus)
• Self-motivated, results-oriented, and driven by personal ownership

• Experience working in interdisciplinary teams

• B.S./B.A. in Product Design or Industrial Design
• 4+ years of experience
• Project management experience including tracking to time and cost targets, plus client management
