Job description

We are a fast-growing SaaS company on a mission to propel the restoration industry forward by empowering restoration companies with the technology they need to scale and grow their businesses.

Recently voted a Top 10 Start-up in Chicago by LinkedIn and a Top Start-up by BuiltIn, and backed by Y Combinator, this is an exciting time to join our team as we enter a stage of rapid growth and product expansion.

We’re looking for a Senior Product Designer with deep experience designing and shipping high-quality software products. You combine strong product thinking with exceptional craft, and you’re comfortable working across the full lifecycle — from defining ambiguous problems to refining high-fidelity solutions and collaborating closely with engineering through implementation. You thrive in complex systems, care deeply about interaction details, and raise the bar for quality at every step. Beyond designing interfaces, you shape product direction, engage in thoughtful technical discussions, and mentor others by contributing to critiques and elevating team standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pair closely with engineering and product to initiate and complete roadmap projects, no hand-offs
  • Spot opportunities to redesign or refine key screens and flows, as well as smaller quality issues and “paper cuts” as you use Albiware
  • Create mockups, prototypes, and high-fidelity visuals to communicate ideas and describe their execution
  • Guide and inspire fellow designers through collaborative critique of work-in-progress
  • Use and improve our lightweight design system components
  • Help deliver and refine clear storytelling around product needs, opportunities and new features
  • Help with hiring new teammates that can elevate our team and product
Key Qualifications
  • 5+ years experience designing software
  • Great attention to detail and a strong eye for visual craft, such as composition, typography, and layout
  • Demonstrated experience independently leading design initiatives from discovery through launch and iteration – balancing user needs, technical constraints, and business priorities
  • Courage to ask questions, experiment, and advocate for what you feel is right
  • Humility to accept feedback, adapt your thinking, and iterate toward the best solution
  • Experience with interaction design and prototyping in Figma (and beyond with tools like AI, HTML/CSS)
  • Ability to distill problems and feedback, then design clear, focused solutions
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Bonus: Familiarity with the unique challenges of designing a more intuitive experience for real-world office and field scenarios.

We’re driven by purpose, fueled by high energy, and backed by venture funding. We’re unapologetically ambitious and make sure that everyone has the support they need to succeed. We value building a strong company culture, being together and collaborating which is why we are an In-Office first organization requiring our teams to be at our office 4 days a week.

We offer a generous compensation package which includes;

  • Competitive Salary ($140,000 - $155,000)
  • Good balance of personal autonomy and team collaboration on projects
  • Working with a team of smart, kind humans passionate about leveraging technology to solve real-world problems
  • Be in an environment where your input is highly valued and personal growth is prioritized.
  • Interesting and challenging work.
  • Competitive Salary
  • Generous PTO.
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance coverage.
  • Regular team events and off-sites.
  • Equipment budget - everything you need to do your best work
  • Continuing education, mentoring, and career development opportunities
  • 401K Plan + Matching.

Note: As part of our continued growth, we’ll be relocating to the heart of Chicago in Summer 2026. This role requires in-person participation — remote arrangements are not available. This is a direct-hire opportunity; we are not engaging agencies or contractors for this position. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States and not require current or future visa sponsorship.

Your journey is your own, and we’re here to help you thrive, no matter your starting point.
