Job summary

FanDuel is seeking a Senior Product Designer to join our Flywheel team, shaping the FanDuel Racing, Fantasy, and Retail experiences. You will partner with product, UX research, analytics, content design and engineering to deliver features that meet user and business goals at the highest standards.

This role is hybrid with Atlanta presence and requires leadership on large-scale projects, mentoring others, and driving design reviews.

We’re looking for a Senior Product Designer to join our team, working on our Flywheel products. You’ll be part of the team that designs and evolves the experience of FanDuel Racing, Fantasy, and Retail products and more, making sure we meet both user and business needs to the highest standards. You will work with a team of talented Product Designers and collaborate closely with Product, UX Research, Analytics, Content Design, Engineering and other partners on a daily basis. This is a highly visible role that will be key to helping us deliver innovative, new features and build upon existing experiences that our customers love.

In addition to the specific responsibilities outlined above, employees may be required to perform other such duties as assigned by the Company. This ensures operational flexibility and allows the Company to meet evolving business needs.

  • Leads projects from concept to delivery, navigating challenges and managing priorities independently.

  • Facilitates design reviews, encourages open dialogue, and advocates for clear communication practices within the team.
  • Presents expert knowledge of their domain and user needs, with an understanding of the broader business impact.
  • Analyzes user feedback across multiple touchpoints, collaborating with research and data teams to fill knowledge gaps and validate hypotheses.
  • Mentors and coaches others, supporting their growth and ensuring successful onboarding for new hires.
  • Participates in application review, case study and experience review, and live exercise sessions.

What we're looking for in our next teammate

  • Experienced professional with a full understanding of one or more functional areas of Product Design.
  • Works closely with other Product Designers, Leads, Managers, and Directors to align on consistency of patterns across areas. Works on medium-high complexity problems, using best practice to solve problems in effective ways.
  • Contributed to multiple projects on multiple shipped products and demonstrated the relevant behaviors and functional knowledge during those projects. Trained in best practices of hiring. Has a solid foundation of a professional network.
  • Experience working in partnership with product, engineering, and research teams.
  • Experience leading/participating in design workshops with cross-functional teams.
  • Advanced skill set level in Figma including design systems, component management, variants, and prototyping. Minimum 3+ years of professional Figma experience.
  • Spends time observing customers, and runs usability research sessions with minimal support from the UX Research team. Uses quant and qual data to aid in validating solutions with them. Works closely with research and data to fill knowledge gaps, or validate hypothesis.
  • Has extensive expertise in visual hierarchy, layout and information architecture. Displaying a strong understanding of user-centered design methodologies. Designing for scale and consistently, advocating for the use and contribution to the design system. A respected partner amongst peers in product and engineering. Identifies product overlaps and gaps in their own work. Good working knowledge of user research process and methodologies. Maintains a good knowledge of customer behaviour in a product. Strong knowledge and understanding of designing with accessibility and inclusivity.

The applicable salary range for this position is $ 112,000 - $154,000 USD, which is dependent on a variety of factors including relevant experience, location, business needs and market demand. This role may offer the following benefits: medical, vision, and dental insurance; life insurance; disability insurance; a 401(k) matching program; among other employee benefits. This role may also be eligible for short-term or long-term incentive compensation, including, but not limited to, cash bonuses and stock program participation. This role includes paid personal time off and 14 paid company holidays. FanDuel offers paid sick time in accordance with all applicable state and federal laws.
