Homes.com, part of CoStar Group, in Arlington, VA, is seeking a Senior Product Designer to lead design across strategy, flows, prototyping, and visual design, onsite with product and engineering teams.

You will collaborate with product leads, researchers, engineers and marketing, translate user needs through research methods, contribute to an emerging design system, and help improve usability and aesthetic quality while delivering wireframes, mocks, and prototypes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
• 5+ years of experience in product design, HCI, usability and UI design.
• Solid design perspective to elevate work from good to great.
• Strong skills in sketching, prototyping, and evaluating interaction design.
• Proficiency with design and prototyping tools.
• Knowledge of cross‑platform interaction design best practices.
• Strong problem‑solving and critical thinking.
• Experience working in an agile environment.
• Demonstrated commitment to prior employers.

Responsibilities

• Lead product design work across strategy, user flows, prototyping, and visual design
• Partner with a cross-functional group including product leads, researchers, engineers, marketing leads, and other designers

• Raise the design standard by balancing usability with aesthetic quality
• Deliver design solutions with wireframes, flows, mockups, and prototypes in collaboration with the product team
• Support an emerging design system through flexible design contributions and help evolve design practices
• Improve team capabilities in user testing, research, and interaction design

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited, not-for-profit, in person University or College
• 5+ years experience in product design, human-computer interaction, usability and UI design, and/or visual design
• Strong design perspective to take work from good to great
• Strong skills in sketching, prototyping, and evaluating interaction design
• Proficiency in design tools and prototyping tools
• Knowledge of interaction design best practices for cross-platform devices and applications
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking
• Experience working in an agile environment
• A track record of commitment to prior employers

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience developing a Design System
• Experience utilizing AI in the design process
• Experience establishing product metrics
• Enjoys working with data, information, and presentation concepts, and collaborating with data-driven peers
