Job summary

Art of Problem Solving (AoPS) is seeking a Senior Product Design Team Lead to guide a small design team and own meaningful product experiences. You will shape product direction in partnership with Product and Engineering, coach 2-3 designers, and advance a scalable design system that brings AoPS branding to life.

You will lead end-to-end design for complex experiences, using user research and data to inform decisions, influence stakeholders, and uphold high-quality craft across products.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Product Design, UX/UI, or Interaction Design with a strong portfolio.
• Proven ability to lead complex product initiatives from framing to delivery.
• Mentor designers and contribute to a design system with scalable patterns.
• Strong collaboration, judgment, and research/data-informed decision making.

Responsibilities

• Lead design for complex product experiences from concept to launch, partnering with Product and Engineering.
• Set a high bar for visual and interaction quality across products.
• Drive user-centered, evidence-based design decisions using research and data.
• Build cross-functional partnerships and align stakeholders around design direction.
• Coach and manage a small team of 2-3 designers, providing feedback to elevate craft.
• Collaborate with senior designers to evolve a shared design system and brand across products.
• Improve team effectiveness and support planning, prioritization, and hiring.
