Job summary

Hubbard Radio Chicago's 312 Sports is seeking a Senior Producer to run day-to-day production and editorial for a slate of sports podcasts. You’ll shape editorial direction, oversee post-production, and share final calls with hosts for audio and video. On-air contributions are a real part of the role.

You’ll manage production schedules, book guests, and collaborate across Sales, Marketing, and Analytics to grow the show’s audience. Flexible hours including evenings and weekends are expected.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in podcast, radio, or TV production with editorial leadership.
• Ability to lead the creative process from concept through publication.
• Experience managing production schedules and deadlines independently.
• Strong command of audio/video editing tools (Audition, Premiere).
• Excellent news judgment with knowledge of Chicago sports teams.
• Sharp writing and editing with a witty voice for a personality-driven brand.
• Comfort using analytics to guide content decisions.
• Hosting experience and comfort in front of the camera/m microphone.
• Willingness to work evenings and weekends as the sports calendar demands.

312 Sports is Chicago’s sports podcast network and part of Gamut, the podcast network of Hubbard | Media That Connects. It’s home to some of the most recognizable voices in Chicago sports. Gamut produces 250+ shows across sports, news, entertainment and true crime.
312 Sports is hiring a Senior Producer to run day-to-day production and editorial for a slate of sports podcasts. You’ll shape the creative direction, run post-production, and share final editorial calls with the hosts on the audio and video versions of the shows. You’ll also contribute on-air. Production is the core of the job, and on-air work is a real part of it too.

Job Responsibilities

Production (Primary)

• Lead production and own the editorial direction of multiple sports podcasts.
• Make final post-production calls, in partnership with the hosts, on audio and video cuts.
• Shape each show’s segment structure, tone, pacing, and overall creative format.
• Develop and maintain the editorial calendar with the show hosts, marketing, and content leadership.
• Track the news cycle and pitch timely episode topics.
• Identify, vet, and book guests who make the show better and bring new listeners with them.
• Coach and develop guest contributors and secondary voices to fit each show’s tone and format.
• Work with Sales, Marketing, and Ad Ops to promote the shows and execute sponsor integrations.
• Work with analytics and audience development to track show performance and use the data to shape content.
• Contribute on-air, bringing a sharp, engaging presence on audio and video.
• Represent 312 Sports with professionalism and creativity across all channels.
• Cover key games and breaking stories as needed, including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in podcast, radio, or television production, with proven editorial leadership.
• Demonstrated ability to lead the creative process from concept through publication, especially in high-volume environments.
• Proven track record of managing production schedules, deadlines, and editorial priorities independently.
• Strong command of audio and video editing tools (e.g., Adobe Audition, Premiere, or similar).
• Excellent news judgment and a strong grasp of local and national sports, particularly Chicago teams.
• Exceptional writing and editing skills with a sharp, witty voice that fits an unfiltered, personality-driven brand.
• Comfortable using analytics and audience data to make content decisions.
• Hosting experience and confidence in front of the camera and microphone.
• Comfortable working flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as the sports calendar demands.
• A collaborative, proactive mindset and willingness to jump in wherever needed.

Physical requirements:

Sits or stands for extended periods. Manual dexterity to operate computer keys and other controls and equipment. Good vision and hearing to discern video and sound across platforms. Ability to communicate in English verbally and in writing, and to think creatively and tactically. Compensation and Benefits

When extending an offer, the company considers a variety of factors such as (but not limited to) the candidate's work experience, education/training & key skills as well as internal peer equity and other market and business considerations.
The salary for this position is $50,000.
