Job summary

PowerSecure is seeking a Sr. Procurement Manager to lead procurement strategy and governance for our manufacturing and service organizations in Durham and Randleman, NC, and Ball Ground, GA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, operations, engineering, finance, or related field; advanced certs preferred.
• 12+ years of progressive procurement or supply chain leadership experience, preferably in complex manufacturing or energy sectors.
• 7+ years of leadership building procurement teams, including leaders and individual contributors.
• Demonstrated ability to define procurement strategy, operating rhythms, supplier governance, KPI systems, escalation models, and execution standards across multi-site environments.
• Strong executive business acumen with the ability to align procurement decisions with production continuity, cost objectives, margin protection, working capital, and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Set the strategic direction for procurement operations, supplier performance, purchasing controls, and material availability across PowerSecure manufacturing and service organizations.
• Establish the procurement operating model, governance structure, management cadence, KPI framework, escalation process, and accountability standards.
• Lead procurement execution and supplier performance across campuses, EPC, PowerSecure Service, supplier diversity, and company stores.
• Build and lead a high-performing procurement organization with clear roles, leadership expectations, standard work, and talent development.
• Develop supplier strategies to improve cost competitiveness, on-time delivery, quality, service, resiliency, and working capital.
• Align procurement strategy with production plans, BOM requirements, engineering changes, lead times, inventory targets, and financial goals.
• Govern purchasing discipline, PO accuracy, supplier follow-up, and policy compliance across procurement functions.
• Ensure availability of parts and services to support assembly start dates, schedules, and customer commitments.
• Lead executive-level supplier governance, business reviews, escalation actions, recovery plans, and corrective actions.
