Petroplan is partnering with a leading upstream oil and gas company for a Senior Supply Chain Specialist - IT Procurement role.

This is a strategic, high-impact role responsible for leading the end-to-end procurement lifecycle for technology-related goods and services - including software, hardware, SaaS subscriptions, and data services. The position sits at the intersection of IT, Supply Chain, Legal, and executive stakeholders, driving value, cost efficiencies, and risk mitigation across the technology portfolio.

Responsibilities

Strategic Planning & Stakeholder Engagement

• Develop and maintain a multi-year Technology Procurement roadmap aligned with IT and business strategy
• Partner with IT and business leaders to forecast needs and optimize spend
• Support business case development for new purchases and renewals

Sourcing & Negotiation

• Lead complex sourcing initiatives and commercial negotiations
• Execute cost reduction and cost avoidance strategies
• Secure favorable commercial and contractual terms
• Establish and track value realization targets

Contract Lifecycle Management

• Oversee full contract lifecycle in coordination with Legal
• Mitigate contractual risk (Data Privacy, AI/ML clauses, SLAs, data ownership, etc.)
• Provide clear contract summaries and obligation tracking to stakeholders
• Build and manage strategic vendor partnerships
• Lead supplier performance reviews and value measurement
• Identify opportunities for vendor consolidation and service rationalization

Governance & Reporting

• Present procurement updates, risks, and savings to leadership
• Track contract milestones and sourcing pipeline
• Stay informed on technology and procurement market trends

Experience

• At least 19 years of procurement, sourcing, or vendor management experience
• Minimum 5+ years specifically in technology procurement (software, hardware, SaaS, data subscriptions)
• Strong contract negotiation and vendor management expertise
• Experience influencing senior stakeholders across departments
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field
