Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Specialist in Procurement of Construction Works and Services to be based in New York City or Dallas, TX. The role focuses on drafting procurement strategies, issuing RFPs, evaluating bids, and negotiating contracts to support our corporate interiors projects.

You'll collaborate with project managers and architects, manage master agreements, and monitor procurement performance while ensuring compliance with policies and legal requirements.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS and four years of procurement experience in corporate office interiors or equivalent
  • Experience in construction management or architecture
  • Strong written and oral communication; ability to chair meetings with senior management

Responsibilities

  • Review project requirements and draft procurement strategy memos
  • Prepare and issue RFPs/RFIs/RFQs in PMIS
  • Engage with GC, architects, engineers and FF&E vendors to execute the work strategy
  • Negotiate and evaluate contracts
  • Develop purchase orders, master agreements and contracts with clients' counsel
  • Manage procurement timelines and budgets with project managers
  • Monitor procurement performance metrics and ensure policy compliance

AECOMis seeking a Senior Specialistskilled in theProcurementofConstruction WorksandServicesto be based inNew York City or Dallas, TX.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Review project requirements and draft/review/finalize procurement strategy memos
  • Prepare and issue Requests for Information / Requests for Qualification / Requests for Proposal in client's Project Management Information System
  • Follow up with, and respond to vendors prior to releasing the RFP, during the bid period, and after bid submission, to answer any questions up to the award
  • Level and analyze bids based on completeness, competitiveness, compliance, adherence to quality expectations, cost, schedule, ESG, etc.
  • Be knowledgeable of industry trends to determine appropriate pricing
  • Prepare and issue analysis report and recommendation
  • Engage with General Contractors, Architects, Engineers and FF&E vendors to execute the work strategy
  • Participating in successful and unsuccessful bidder calls
  • Participate in negotiation and evaluation of contracts
  • Prepare purchase orders, master agreements, letter agreements, and contracts for all appointments (architects/ engineers, project managers, contractors, etc.), including any reviews with client's legal counsel
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers and contractors
  • Conduct market research to identify new vendors and evaluate their capabilities
  • Manage and report various stakeholders from multiple divisions
  • Collaborate with project managers to ensure procurement aligns with project timelines and budgets
  • Monitor and report on procurement performance metricsEnsure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and industry standards
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for procurement processes
  • BA/BS and fouryears of procurement experience in the corporate office interiors space or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
  • Experience in construction management, architecture or a related discpline

Preferred Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of different forms of contracts and contracting strategies – especially as relates to design and construction
  • Strong written and oral communication, including chairing meetings with client’s senior management team, and vendors
  • Ability to work in collaborative environment but also to work independently/unsupervised
  • Strong experience in using PMIS platforms such as PMWeb, Ariba, etc
  • Relevant Industry certifications such as PMI-CP, MRICS, CCP, etc
  • Sponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position
  • Relocation is not available now or in the future
