Job summary

Rosendin Electric, Inc. in Houston is seeking a Senior Procurement Specialist to lead planning, forecasting, logistics, and purchasing of construction commodities and electrical equipment. You will provide leadership, training, and supervision to procurement staff as needed.

The role requires strong knowledge of electrical materials, procurement processes, and analytics, with the ability to manage multiple duties under tight deadlines in a dynamic project environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Management or related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years electrical construction purchasing experience.
  • Combination of education, training and relevant experience.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares and distributes complex bid invitations or requests for proposal including logistics, warehousing, kitting, and cutting and packaging requirements; receives, analyzes, and recommends approval of bids most advantageous to Rosendin.
  • Processes difficult and unique purchasing transactions according to state laws, federal statutes, policies, and procedures established by Rosendin.
  • Assists departments with specification development, drafts RFP.
  • Reviews, analyzes and approves all purchases where award is not made to the low bidder to ensure justification exists and policy is followed. Reviews, analyzes, researches and approves purchases of a non-competitive nature.
  • Discusses defective or unacceptable goods or services with inspection or quality control personnel, users, vendors, and others to determine source of deficiency and take corrective action.
  • Plan all aspects of purchasing from project award to closeout; negotiate contracts; oversee execution of the purchasing buy-out.
  • Maintain records of goods ordered and received; coordinate with estimating management, design professionals and site management.
  • Provide procurement analytics, reporting and deliverables to project teams; supervise buyers/expeditors as needed.
