Job summary

Halliburton is seeking a procurement professional to plan sourcing of goods and services to support manufacturing, field operations and project management in a Hybrid full-time role in Conroe, Texas. You will implement Category Management, drive RFQs, manage supplier performance and use SAP S/4HANA for reporting.

With a bachelor’s degree and 5+ years in procurement, you may lead and mentor junior specialists, and advance to senior or supervisory roles depending on experience and business needs.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree required with minimum 5 years in related fields.
• Experience in procurement activities and supplier management.
• Ability to lead and develop junior Procurement Specialists.

Job Responsibilities

• Under general supervision, plans sourcing of goods and services to support manufacturing, field operations or project management
• Complies with and executes Category Management strategy in accordance with policies and procedures
• Creates request for quotations (RFQ) or organizes competitive biddings from various suppliers to obtain best quality, delivery and price for goods and services (RFI-request for information/RFP-request for proposal)
• Manage complex procurement activities, high-value expenditures, supplier relationships, and performance reviews.
• Utilize SAP S/4HANA and other procurement/ERP systems to manage purchasing activities, supplier information, transactions, and reporting
• Implement agreements for local procurement of goods and services not covered under Category Management
• Assesses supplier performance and conducts reviews with suppliers
• May be responsible for complex operations or large expenditures
• May lead in the development of less experienced Procurement Specialists
• Job tasks impact cost containment, efficiency, profitability or operations
• Undergraduate degree and minimum of 5 years of experience in related fields
• Candidates having qualifications that exceed the minimum job requirements will receive consideration for higher level roles given (1) their experience, (2) additional job requirements, and/or (3) business needs. Depending on education, experience, and skill level, a variety of job opportunities might be available from the Senior Procurement Specialist up to a Supervisor level
