We’re seeking a seasoned Senior Procurement Officer with deep expertise in managing the sourcing, negotiation, and supply chain of imported products. You will be instrumental in building and sustaining robust relationships with overseas suppliers, optimizing cost structures, and ensuring seamless customs and regulatory compliance for all inbound goods.
Experience: 7+ years in procurement or supply chain roles, with at least 3 years focused on imported products.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
Skills:
Strategic Sourcing: Develop and execute procurement strategies for a diverse portfolio of imported goods, evaluating market trends and supplier capabilities.
Supplier Management: Identify, qualify, and manage relationships with international suppliers; conduct regular performance reviews and risk assessments.
Negotiation & Cost Control: Lead high‑value negotiations on pricing, terms, and logistics; implement cost‑saving initiatives while maintaining quality standards.
Regulatory Compliance: Oversee import documentation, customs clearance, and adherence to U.S. trade regulations (e.g., FDA, USDA, customs tariffs).
Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Partner with logistics, inventory, and finance teams to align procurement activities with operational and financial objectives.
Reporting & Analysis: Prepare regular procurement reports, track KPIs (e.g., spend under management, supplier lead times), and present insights to senior leadership.
