We constantly look for smarter, simpler, and safer ways of operating. If you thrive in environments where people value learning and are committed to continuously improve daily operations, join us and be a part of our journey.

What We Can Offer:
At APM Terminals, we foster a dynamic learning and training culture that empowers our employees to excel. Our commitment to improvement is driven by Lean principles, ensuring that every team member has the opportunity to develop their skills and advance their careers. Experience a diverse, multinational workplace where your operational insights directly influence how we work.

Benefit from a culture that encourages innovation and structured problem‑solving to improve procurement effectiveness.

Gain exposure to large‑scale CAPEX and OPEX decision‑making that directly impacts terminal performance and strategic priorities.

Develop professionally through cross‑regional collaboration with global procurement, category management, and operational leadership teams.

Balance challenging work with a supportive environment that respects well‑being, flexibility, and sustainable workload management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, coach, and develop the Procurement teams in Mobile (AL) and Miami (FL), fostering high engagement, performance alignment, and continuous capability growth.
  • Manage OPEX spend portfolios for both terminals, ensuring successful execution of Global, Regional, and Terminal Procurement strategies.
  • Drive cost improvements and P&L savings through optimized sourcing, improved process cycle times, and enhanced supply chain efficiency.
  • Establish and maintain strong compliance frameworks governing sourcing, contracting, supplier management, and procurement processes.
  • Partner with Asset Maintenance to strengthen inventory management, spare parts availability, material planning, and overall supply reliability.
  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, supporting strategic supplier development aligned with Global Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) programs.
  • Support terminal CAPEX initiatives, ensuring transparent tendering, thorough vendor evaluation, and selection of cost‑effective solutions aligned with project goals.
  • Collaborate across regions to identify synergy opportunities, consolidate spend, and enable continuous improvement in procurement performance.
What We Are Looking For
  • Continuous improvement mindset: we are looking for someone who brings a strong mindset of continuous improvement – someone who is naturally curious, committed to solving problems at the root, and driven to make things better every day.
  • Proven leadership experience managing procurement teams and driving engagement, development, and high performance.
  • Strong background in strategic purchasing, contract management, supplier relationship management, and negotiation at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders, operate strategically, and execute complex procurement projects across multiple functions.
  • Solid understanding of procurement principles, supply chain processes, and inventory management within large, asset‑intensive environments.
  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to manage budgets and deliver against project deadlines.
  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish.
  • Travel Required: 25% travel required to Miami, FL.
