Job summary

Abbott in Chicago seeks a senior procurement leader to shape and execute a US strategy for Patient Programs and Market Access. You will own supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and drive value across multiple Abbott business units.

The role requires strong negotiation, analytics and cross-functional leadership to deliver compliant, cost-effective solutions that support patient access and commercial objectives in a regulated healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• Master’s or bachelor’s degree in Business, Procurement, Supply Chain, Finance, Healthcare or related field.
• Six or more years in procurement, category management, strategic sourcing, commercial operations or market access.
• Proven experience leading cross-functional sourcing or commercial projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement US category strategy for Patient Programs and Market Access.
• Lead supplier evaluations, RFIs/RFPs and negotiations with strategic partners.
• Draft and negotiate contracts, SLAs and change orders.
• Monitor supplier performance for quality, cost and compliance.
• Drive savings, cost avoidance and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with Market Access, Patient Services and Finance to align objectives.
