Job summary

Aston Carter is seeking a Procurement Manager in Auburn Hills, MI, to lead purchasing as the company scales from prototype builds to volume delivery of unmanned aircraft systems. You will own the full procurement lifecycle, maintain supplier relationships, and ensure on-time, cost-target material deliveries.

You will collaborate with engineering and production to convert BOMs into reliable material plans, enforce purchasing policies, and manage ERP systems to serve as the single source of truth

Qualifications

• Experience writing and enforcing purchasing policy in environments where engineers previously ordered parts.
• Consolidating and formalizing supplier base, including vendor lists and negotiated agreements.
• Hands-on experience with BOM-driven material planning and ERP purchasing modules.

Responsibilities

• Set, document, and enforce purchasing policies and thresholds.
• Organize and rationalize supplier base and establish approved vendor lists.
• Own and manage ERP purchasing module and BOM data for material planning.
• Manage full procurement lifecycle for production materials and shop supplies.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and lead times with suppliers and distributors.
• Run BOM-driven material planning with production and engineering teams.
