Job summary

Honeywell INC. in Arvada, CO is seeking a Sr Procurement Buyer to drive procurement strategies and oversee end-to-end purchasing for assigned commodities, negotiating with suppliers, and ensuring cost effectiveness and on-time delivery.

You will collaborate with Planning, Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality and Finance to resolve issues, maintain supplier performance, and lead continuous improvement initiatives, while reporting to the Procurement Buying Manager.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of procurement, supply chain, or strategic sourcing experience in manufacturing, OEM or engineered-products environment.
• 3+ years managing complex commodities with annual spend between $8-$15M.
• Experience using ERP/MRP systems with supplier master data and pricing management.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end procurement cycle: RFQ/RFP, bid analysis, supplier selection, PO placement, delivery tracking, and verification.
• Purchase high-mix/low-volume materials to balance cost, quality, delivery, and risk.
• Develop sourcing strategies by analyzing demand, supplier capabilities, and total cost.
• Lead supplier negotiations on pricing, terms, and lead times within authority.
• Onboard new suppliers to improve cost competitiveness and supply continuity.
• Monitor supplier performance and coordinate corrective actions and risk mitigation.
• Collaborate with Planning, Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Finance, Receiving to resolve issues.
• Lead resolution of shortages and delivery issues with supplier recovery plans.
• Conduct cost analysis, bid comparisons, and risk assessments for sourcing decisions.
• Maintain accurate purchasing data in the ERP system and supplier master data.
• Coordinate supplier nonconformances with Quality and other stakeholders.
• Lead or support Supplier Management Reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
