Job summary

AV in Albuquerque, NM, seeks a Buyer III to lead procurement of services, supplies, and equipment, reviewing requisitions and coordinating with engineering, planning, and manufacturing to acquire inventory cost-effectively.

This role sources, negotiates, and manages procurement of materials, working with cross-functional teams to ensure on-time delivery and compliance with FAR/DFARS, ITAR/EAR. Strong MS Office and ERP/MRP experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Review purchase requisitions and coordinate with manufacturing, planning and engineering.
• Procure inventory cost-effectively and in a timely manner.
• Prepare RFQ/RFP packages and negotiate terms with suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with AV policies and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Monitor cost, schedule and scope of subcontracts to negotiate terms.
• Monitor supplier performance and address delivery/quality issues.
• Develop new supply sources to improve competitiveness.
• Manage supplier relationships to reduce costs and ensure on-time delivery.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align procurement with programs.
• Support proposals and pricing input including make/buy considerations.
• Identify long-lead, single/sole-source and obsolescence risks.
• Ensure compliance with FAR/DFARS, ITAR/EAR and other regulations.
